Why must we live a life of Distinction?
1. We can stay connected to the source.
2. We are to stay in Centre of God's plan.
Daniel 6:3
Daniel had exeptional qualities
He walked in the standard of God's word.
Daniel 6:4
At this, the administrators and the satraps tried to find grounds for charges against Daniel in his conduct of government affairs, but they were unable to do so. They could find no corruption in him, because he was trustworthy and neither corrupt nor negligent.
Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
We need to read reflect and remember the word and then apply it into our lives
Practicing a lifestyle of Prayer
Daniel 6:10-11
When we do this, we affirm our identity in God.
Daniel was fearless and was bold in proclaiming his faith.
Mindsets
We depend our own strength to solve our owm problems. The more we try, the worse it gets.
We run away when we feel that we can't handle our problems
We think our God only answers prayers from those who pray well
We think God answers prayers faster when pastors or leaders pray for us
Be prepared to count the cost
