"Nic, wake up, honey." I planted a kiss on his cheek as I  gently tapped on his shoulder. "You're going to be late."

It's been two months since we returned from our honeymoon.

"I don't wanna go," he mumbled, his voice still thick with sleep,

Each morning unfold in a similar pattern, he made excuses for skipping the office, and I wondered if this was the same workaholic Dominic from before.

"I just want to stay... here ...in our bed... with you in my arms." He reached out for me, and I couldn't help but laugh softly.

"As tempting as that sounds, you have a company to run and responsibilities, remember? Meetings, deadlines..." I reminded him gently and He pouted dramatically. "But babe, I'm the CEO."

I rolled my eyes affectionately. "Yes, you are the CEO, that's why I'm waking you. You'll thank me later."

He sighed dramatically, "Fine, but you owe me a rain check on that morning cuddle," he said, leaning in for a quick peck on the lips.

"Deal. Now get up," I replied, with a smile. He reluctantly swung his legs over the edge of the bed, running a hand through his tousled hair.

"Alright, alright. I'm up, but only because you asked so nicely," he grumbled as he started getting ready. I couldn't help but smile at his charming morning antics.

Suddenly, he looked at me and sighed dramatically. "Enjoying my misery?"

"Oh, absolutely. Your morning theatrics are quite entertaining," I replied with a playful grin.

He mockingly rolled his eyes, but then a playful smirk tugged at the corners of his lips, and a mischief gleaming in his eyes. In the blink of an eye, he took long strides in my direction.

I gulped hard, sensing his mischievous intentions, and without another thought, I ran from the room, laughter escaping from my lips.

Through the house, we raced, the sound of our laughter echoing in the corridors. After a few minutes He caught me, wrapping his arms around me in a mock-capture.

"Gotcha!" he exclaimed, a triumphant grin spreading across his face. I laughed. "Okay, okay, you win!" I said breathlessly. But in the next instant He pulled me into a tight hug, and in the next second, his mouth was on mine, kissing, sucking, nibbling. He was ravishing my mouth so brutally that I had to tore my mouth away to catch my breath.

As he pulled away, a tender smile lingered on his lips as he gently tucked a loose strand behind my ear.

"Be ready at 5. I'd like you to meet someone," he said.

"Who?"

"A business partner and a friend of mine."

"But..."

"No buts, sweetheart," he interrupted, not giving me a chance to protest, he again claimed my lips in a sweet kiss.

kissing me one last time, he left for his office, leaving me with swirling thoughts of confusion and curiosity about this unknown friend he wanted me to meet.

As the clock ticked toward 5, my curiosity deepened. I couldn't help but wonder about the person I was about to meet.

At precisely 5, the doorbell rang, and I opened it to find him with a warm smile.
