Chapter 23 - Traveling Merchants *

Two bodies entangled under the sky filled with bright twinkling stars. Ruffled blankets were under them as they continue to whisper sweet nothings that make each other giggle from time to time. That lovely scene completes a great canvas, with the quiet lake and the bright night sky.

"No. Small villages have weak beast men. Most of them are poor that is why I prefer going to big villages or kingdoms."

"Kingdoms? You have kingdoms here?"

"Yes. That is what they call for very big villages. A village normally has one kind of race or tribe. A kingdom has three or more race living together in a certain place and one race has the leader or what they call king. There are strong beast men that lives in kingdoms. And they are richer."

"Are they way more advanced? What I mean is, do they live their life more comfortably than small villages? Do they use things that small villages don't have?"

"They live in stone houses not like villages who live in caves or wood houses. They have more food and have good witch doctors."

"So basically the same, just an upgrade on housing, medicine and food. It would be more complicated if we go directly to kingdoms. Husband, d'you think it will be safer if we sell on villages first?"

Dumu nods as his hand caresses gently the curves on her body.

"Okay then. Since we are wandering for adventure and at the same time, selling stuff to other beast men, we will be travelling merchants from now on. What d'you think?"

"Merchants?"

"That's what we call humans who do business to others. Like selling. And since we are travelling, I think that perfectly describes both of us. That would be a good reason why we are wandering the beast world, right?"

"I'm not angry but relieved. To tell you the truth, I don't want to have cubs right now. I'm still young and I want to do a lot of things with my husband and just enjoy life. If we find a place to settle in the future and call our own as a home, maybe we can start building our own family. But right now that we are wandering, it will be very difficult to do the things we want to do if I get pregnant or have cubs. Is that okay with you Dumu?"
