Back at headquarters

L was still thinking about what happened in the airport.

He realized how things have escalated this quick.

A few weeks ago.

There was the incident at the former White Room facility.

Now the airport.

To him, things are adding up but to the point where he wasn't expecting such actions.

L: (Fyodor, Nikolai...this must be the 3rd party organization. So, this is who Ranpo was warning me about. I wasn't expecting someone this dangerous before. I have to figure out who these people are before they cause too much trouble.)

???: Are you okay, Ryuzaki-san?

L snaps out from his thought process as he sees Nakano Maruo.

L: Nakano-san.

Maruo: Are you alright? You look a bit stressed.

L: I'm fine. Things are getting a little hectic, that's all.

Maruo: I've heard the news. There's a foreign criminal on the loose.

L: You've heard then we could be in new kind of trouble soon enough.

Maruo: But what about Atsuomi? I know he's still out there somewhere and most likely plotting to bring his son back no matter what. It seems our hands are going to be quite full.

L: I know, I do have a feeling though that things are about to get worse.

Maruo: Worse how?

L: I suggest you visit your daughters.

Maruo: Are you sure?

L: This is only a mere gut feeling but if Atsuomi knows you're the one who tries to expose him. He could go after your daughters in retaliation.

Maruo: I understand.

L: And make sure you don't let anyone follow you.

Maruo: Right.

Maruo then leaves as L once more takes a breather.

L: (This is getting more troublesome than I thought. If these problems continue. The whole country could be in chaos soon.)

L then takes his phone as he calls for a certain detective.

L: Kirigiri-san.

Kyoko: L, it's been a while. Sorry, that I haven't made contact in weeks. I was suddenly given a new assignment. I'm currently in Kyoto right now.

L: Kyoto huh? What's the case?

Kyoko: Well, from what I'm told. There's been a string of strange murders going on.

L: Murders?

Kyoko: Actually, it's more like fake murders. The victims aren't dead, but they are in a comatose state which made it look like that they're dead. Probably drugged by someone but I have no clue who it is yet.

L: I see.

Kyoko: I know you're asking for my help. Is it related to what happened at the Tokyo Airport?

L: That's right.

Kyoko: Don't worry, I'll help once I finish this case.

L: Very well.
