TK Strand was stood making coffee at the firehouse 51, chatting with his friend Kelly Severide-Casey about the recent incidents that they had been dealing with.

Their conversation was cut short by Matthew Casey walking into the kitchen, a small smile on his face. Kelly brought his husband in for a hug, placing a gentle kiss on the mans lips, and letting him settle in between his legs.

"When are you and Jay going to get married?" Matt asked, laughing at how TK choked on his coffee

"I don't think he even wants that Matt, and at the moment I feel that he doesn't even want me" TK admitted, placing the coffee cup down with a sigh

"What do you mean, that man is madly in love with you, and always has been" Kelly said, a small frown on his face

"He's been ignoring me for days, living with his dad Hank instead" TK whispered, small whimper leaving his lips

"I'll phone Hank, and speak to him" Kelly whispered, kissing his husbands forehead gently, before walking out of the kitchen leaving the two together

Dialling the Sergeants number, he was amazed by how quick the man picked up the phone. He sounded oit of breath as if he had been chasing someone down.

"Severide, what's up?" the older man asked

"Why's Jay staying at yours?" Kelly asked, not beating around the bush

"He's struggling with his PTSD and he had a relapse last week" Hank sighed, he had his suspicions that his son hadn't told anyone

"TK is so worried, thinks he doesn't love him anymore" Kelly said, all anger he felt leaving his body

"I thought Jay had told TK that he was staying with me, tell TK to go round to mine, he has a key" Hank said

"How bad was his relapse Hank?" Kelly asked, knowing how badly the man had struggled with pills when he had been discharged from the military

"Thankfully he knew that it was getting bad, he was popping pills just like when he came home, but he's two weeks clean" Hank said softly

"Ok, I'll get TK to go round and see him, they need each other" Kelly said, saying his goodbyes before hanging up the phone

Walking back into the kitchen, he smiled softly at TK who waited with wide eyes to see whag his boyfriends dad had said. He knew that his younger lover tended to run awah when things got too overwhelming for him but he feared he was lossing his favourite boy.

"Jay relapsed" Kelly sighed

"But he was doing so well, did Hank say why?" TK asked

"No, but he said you should go see him, he needs you bud" Kelly said, smiling as TK didn't waste anytime in running out the kitchen and jumping into his RAM truck that was parked outside

Driving towards Hanks house, TK felt a wave if emotion come over him, his boyfriend had been struggling and he hadn't even noticed. He thought the man had been falling out of love for him, instead the man was falling deep into a depression he never thought would happen again.

The drive was short, and 15 minutes later, TK was stood at the front door of Hank Voight, inserting the spare key he had been given by the man three years prior. In case of emergencies. Even though Jay and TK had been together going on 8 years, the war veteran had only just moved in with him three years ago.

Walking into the quiet house, TK made his way to the living room, Jay wasn't there, so the taller man made his way towards the bedroom he knew Jay slept in. He hesitated at the door, wanting to knock but also wanting to just barge in on his lover.

Deciding to knock, he gently rapped his knuckles against the brown wood, before hearing the voice he had fallen for all those years ago. He sounded drained, and it made TKs heart clench.

"Dad, leave me alone, I just want to be alone" the voice mumbled, quivering as if he was trying desperately not to cry

"It's me baby" TK mumbled, resting a hand in the door handle but not opening the bedroom door

No andwer came, instead the door flung open and a body slammed itself into TK, nearly taking him out but he was able to catch his footing, arms coming to wrap around Jay's thin waist as the man cried into his chest.

"I'm sorry" was all the smaller man kept repeating

"Hey, hey, you're good, no need to apologise, please don't cry" TK soothed, walking the man back to the bed, laying down and pulling Jay with him, letting the smaller man cuddle up in his arms

"I just wanted to feel something, but instead I ruined everything" his boyfriend cried, head hidden in his chest, hands clutching his work uniform tightly

"You ruined nothing baby, we all have setbacks, but you're more than your addiction, I promise you, I'm here and I'm never going to give up on you" TK mumbled softly, pressing a gentle kiss on Jays forehead, while rubbing his hands up and down the smaller mans back

"I didn't mean to let you down" Jay sniffled, calming down now he had his boyfriend

"You haven't let me down Jay, I promise" TK whispered, shifting so that he was on his back, with Jays head on his chest

"But-" Jay started but he was cut off by TK kissing his lips softly

"No buts, you're still my boyfriend, and yes you slipped but I still love you like I did from the day you first stepped into my life" TK smiled, remebering how much Jay had been struggling back then

"I love you TK" Jay whispered, grasping the hand that was laying on TKs chest

"And I love you, so much" TK replied, "Now sleep, I'm not leaving"

And sleep Jay did, when Hank got home from his shift five hours later to a silent house, he wuietly made his way upstairs to the room his son slept in. A large smile appearing on his face, taking in how his son was curled into TKs side, hand gripping the older mans shirt tightly.

Both men were fast asleep, a small smile on TKs face while all tension and worry gone from his youngest sons. Hank walked into the room, grabbing the blanket that was on the floor, covering the two men up before he walked out in to the corridor, closing the door softly behind him.
