"Hey Nova, Will you be my Valentines?" Jaden asks me holding flowers in front to my face. I was shocked to see that someone actually asked me out. And it was the person I was gonna ask. "Yes of course!" I say not hesitating to answer. "Come in" I say signaling him to come in. My gift was right on the table that I got him. Be placed his gift down. He got my roses which what girl doesn't like roses?

He got me this and red roses. I think he saw the gift when he walked in but I don't think he thought it was for him. " Well I was gonna ask you to be my valentines so all this stuff behind me is yours." I smile. And slide the box over to him. " And I didn't know what flowers you liked or even if you like flowers but they'd look cute in your room so I got them." I say ranting a bit. " Nova you didn't have to do this" He says his voice cracked it bit. We laughed cause we both heard it. " My fault" he says in the middle of laughing. "But yeah I got you all your favorites" I say. " Thank you" he says. " No thank you" I reply. " Can I hug you?" He asks. 'Come here' I mumble and I embrace him. This is what I missed. His hugs, he's a big bear hugger I hope to get a hoodie by the end of the day. We pull back. " We're going out for lunch" he says putting his keys in his pockets. " Really? Where" I ask. "It's a supriseee" he says walking over to the front door. I shrug. " Mom I'm going out for lunch love you bye!" I shout as loud as I can. I don't want her to report me missing cause my do not disturb is on. He opens the front door and car door for me. Such a gentlemen. We listen to the radio the whole drive in silence. But it's like a comfortable silence. We make it there and it's a hibachi grill restaurant. I literally love hibachi grills and Jaden knows that.

We walk in and Jaden gets our table. It's a booth. I'm so happy right now words cannot describe it. " I've really missed you Jaden." I say. I know I probably shouldn't have just blurted out like that but it's killing me inside.
"I saw you last week?" He's says looking at the drink menu. " No I mean like I miss like , us.." My tone lowers at the last part. I don't know why I'm saying thing it feels like the right moment but not the right time.  Cause even if I do miss us there's nothing we or I can do about it. I don't want to rush things but I miss him so badly but I like what we have going on it's just .. I don't know.

"Oh." He says taking his eyes off of his menu. My heart drops cause I know he doesn't feel the same way. " I'll be honest with you. I miss you too." He says shrugging like it was nothing. " That's all though , right?" I ask. He nods. I feel somewhat relief. I don't think I'm ready to be his girlfriend yet. I like what we have going on now and I'm gonna need time to adjust. We order are drinks as the waitress comes up to us. Me and Jaden just order waters and then bring out fried pickles as appetizers. Now it's a bit awkward though , it's awkward silence and usually it's comfortable silence.

I decide to hold his hand. It just mm felt right? I guess. It doesn't seem like he minds it though because he holds my head too rubbing his thumb on mine: I blush maybe it's not noticeable but I can feel it. Soon after we order our food. In the meantime while we wait for our food we chat. Just about life and another things. " So how's your siblings?" I ask doing the thumb rub. "Good , they miss you though." He responds. "Especially Jayla." Jaden adds. " I miss her too." I say in a soft tone. I do miss her , maybe we can chat next week. Our food comes. " Wait don't eat yet I gotta take a pic" I say. He laughs. " Hey don't blame a girl." I say putting my phone away. We eat and chat a little more. We're having a good time, and whenever it's silent is comfortable unlike a little while ago.

We finish up eating and chat a little more before our check comes up. " So how are we paying?" The waitress asks. " Half and-" .. " All together." Jaden cuts me off. Oh my goodness he's such a gentlemen. His momma raised him right. He pats and we out. " Jaden , you did not have to do that." I say buckling up. " Of course I did , it's Valentine's Day." He says smiling. I smile back. The drive isn't too long it's the ten minutes. I was just enjoying Jadens company in those last minutes. As we pull up to my house a flood of sadness appears. I don't want this to end so early. But I figured I just spend the night next week. Also my birthdays in a couple weeks so it's not like I won't see him soon.

He gets out of the car just to open my door. " Goodness Jaden stop all this gentlemen stuff your gonna make me fall in love with you."

Ugh why did I say that. He just smiles. I hope I didn't make him uncomfortable. We hug , but this time there's like tension. I can't tell if it's because what I said or something else. When we pull away from the hug Jaden cups my face. " Can I kiss you?" He asks. I nod , just nod. Because I couldn't even speak. We kiss. It wasn't awkward afterwards either. " I know like usually the boy gives the girl his hoodie. But I don't have one so take my shirt." He says and then he just strips? And hands me it. I laugh because it's a little silly bur atleast he's educated?

"Thanks I guess." I laugh. Because I do remember saying something about a hoodie earlier. " Alright we'll bye!" I yell as I walk to my front door. "Bye nova." He says walking around to the drivers door. I walk into my house. Blushing and stuff not even trying to hide the fact that I am. As soon as I get into my house I drop my stuff and go to the bathroom just to see put on his shirt. I make a quick tiktok and then head out.

"Finally your here!" My sister says. " What Ki I was on a date?" I say picking my shirt off of the floor. "Cause your friend CJ or whatever has been waiting for you up in your room." She's says shrugging.

"You said what?"
