"Oh hey CJ.." I say with a small wave. I know CJ doesn't really like Jaden and Jaden doesn't really like CJ cause of the past. " Am I interrupting something here?" CJ asks opening the door. " Nope come right on in." I say I was being sarcastic but he must've not realized cause he took a seat on my sofa. Oh great. This is great. " Um so how you doing?-" " she's doing good." Jaden answers for me also cutting CJ off. " Alright but I didn't ask you I asked her, how are you doing nova?" He asks me. " I'm doing okay , just a little sore but pretty good." I say. " Great." He says. He keeps glancing over at Jaden. I'm tried if everyone coming to check up on me like I'm in a hospital. Who are letting these people in. " Y'all don't have to keep doing this, I'm alright. I'm not a hospital patient." I say. "I know" They say in sync which makes them stare at eachother even more.

It's funny. Well to me atleast. "Can someone get me a bottled water , it doesn't matter who." I say , I've been very dehydrated lately. "I'll get it!" Jaden says standing up quickly. " I can." CJ says following. " Bro I just said I would get it chillax it's not a competition." He says smirking at the last part.

I think that rattled something in CJ cause he didn't seem too amused. 'Whatever' he mumbles.  Jaden leaves my room. It is pretty silent until CJ breaks the silence. " So.." he says starting. "How was your thanks giving?" He asks.

"Good we really didn't do anything since my grandma wasn't in town." I say.

"Grandma Ann?" Jaden says handing me the water and sitting back down. "Yeah grandma Ann." I say, smiling a bit.

"How's she doing?" Jaden asks me. "She's doing very well. Had a successful surgery." I say nodding. " Well are you excited for christmas nov" CJ asks. A nickname? No one really calls me 'Nov' except my sister , daelo and Jayla. "Yeah really excited , especially to see some family." I say slightly chugging the water. " Fun" CJ says nodding slowing. I nod with him. It's a bit awkward and silent. Seems like the wars have finally stopped thankfully. I couldn't hear any more bickering for godness sake I was about to go crazy and call them out right here.

"What do you want for Christmas?" Jaden asks me turning off his phone. " A puppy. Preferably a small dog or even a kitten just another animal." I say.

"Can someone rub my feet?"

"I can!" The two boys say in sync.

"Goodness grief , I was joking don't rub my feet!" I say shaking my head in shock. This is so silly. Oh where is my bestfriend when I need her.. 

"I was just playin." CJ says reclining back.

"I wasn't." Jaden says. Apparently he has no shame in his game. Not surprised though.

"Y'all it's not a competition." I say.

"What do you mean?" They ask.

"Come one now you know what I mean."
