Makima sat alone in torn apart building, sitting on a mound of destroyed dolls with one leg crossed over another.
"I knew it..." She whispered.

"IS HAPPENING!?!?!?!"
Up and down, all around, near and far, and in every conceivable corner of this infinite expanse, the two devils were battling. Thunderous roars interlaced with rage-filled hisses echoes and boomed, sounding at some times miles away, and other times, right on top of them. The earth was carved and filled with craters, and shattered door-frames and chunks of splintered wood rained on them.
"LADY QUANXI, I'M SCARED!!!" Pingsti wailed, molding her figure to Quanxi's for any facsimile of comfort in this absolute warzone.
"WE NEED TO MAKE A RUN FOR IT!!!" Tamaoki yelled.
"FUCKING WHERE!? THEY'RE EVERYWHERE AT ONCE!!!" Kusukabe screamed.
"WE'RE IMMORTAL WE'RE IMMORTAL WE'RE IMMORTAL WE'RE IMMORTAAAAAL!!!!" Tony yelled on repeat as he held his brothers, the three huddled like penguins.
"NOBODY MOVE!!!" Aki yelled. "WHATEVER IT IS, IT'S PROTECTING US!!!" Aki pointed at the ground. Despite how absolutely destroyed most of the expanse was, a perimeter around them managed to remain untouched. "We just have to stay still, and we'll be-"
CRASH!!!
They were sent flying as a massive force smashed into the center of the circle, tumbling and rolling onto the uprooted soil. The dust cleared to reveal the entity had been pinned to the ground by the Darkness Devil, barely able to hold back the bladed appendages of The Darkness with its hands and jaws. The entity was covered in gashes and cuts, its hazy silhouette bathed in black blood. While the Darkness Devil, on the other hand, was entirely unscathed, with not a single abrasion on its grey, pale flesh.
"!!!!"
The Darkness Devil hissed, snaking one limb by and plunging it into the entity's abdomen, earning a roar of pain from the entity.
"DIGEST:"
Pop!
FWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH!!!!!!!!
The entity breathed a massive stream of fire straight at the Darkness Devil. The Darkness Devil lept off of the entity and back, never once letting the light touch it as it cloaked itself in the darkness once again. The entity got up, spraying fire all around into the dark as the unseen Darkness Devil waited for its moment to strike.
"Long, your arms!" Quanxi yelled, and the horned fiend looked down to find her arms had been returned to her.
The entity swung its head back and forth, bathing the ground in fire. The flames were close to useless in the dark, fizzling out and being swallowed up the dark in moments. Little by little, the flames shrank as the power the entity had called upon began to wane. The Darkness Devil chose this time to strike, shooting down from the sky with its arms outstretched.
"DIGEST:"
Pop!
Aki's eyes widened as his arms popped back into existence.
The entity dodged the strike from the Darkness Devil without looking, barely avoiding being shredded by eight bladed appendages at once. The entity spun, swinging an open, clawed palm at where the Darkness Devil stood. The attack missed, slamming into the ground and quaking the earth with the sheer magnitude of the force of the attack. The entity hissed with annoyance, ripping its claws out of the ground. The entity ducked as the massive sword of the Darkness Devil flew by it, grabbing the handle of the sword out of the air and throwing it back at the Darkness Devil. The blade shot towards the Darkness Devil, only for it to veer off course as the Darkness Devil pointed a finger at it, flying past it and curving its trajectory to hover beside it.
