Yes, I know! It's been so long and I updated!! Very unlike me :(
I hope you guys like the update though.

The final bell just rang and I haven't moved an inch from the computer ever since I started working on some of the missed work. There's definitely a lot of catching up on work to do but thank God it's manageable.

Just as I click the 'shut down' button and switch off the systems, I hear the door open and in comes Daniel just as I spin around in my chair to pack up my things.

"I would've guessed it was you." I smile packing up my things still not facing him. "Had a good day?" I ask spinning around to see Daniel leaning forwards on my desk. Couple of inches away from me seeing that I'm seated on the desk chair. "Everything okay?" I say softly looking up at him for the first time since he came. He just stares at me without saying anything. He looks so serious. I've never seen him look at me like this before. Like as if his world revolves around me. I don't even understand if this is actually happening right now.

"Daniel?" My voice comes out just above a whisper after several minutes. My eyes drift to his chest to check if he's breathing properly. He's panting! "Daniel, are you alright? What's happening?" I stand up forgetting that his face is just inches away from me because when now I'm on my feet, his face suddenly becomes centimetres away from mine.

I could literally hear his breathing picking up. Why is he reacting this way? Like as if he's running a marathon but without actually running. His eyes are fixed on me. He hasn't moved an inch.

"Daniel!" He blinks his eyes standing up straight instantly.

"I-I s-sorry...Kiara.." my concern only grows when he starts stammering things that don't even go in a sentence.

I walk towards him but he backs away too much to where he ends up blindly hitting his back on a bookshelf. Nothing happens though. He juts stands still like nothing happened.

"Daniel, what happened?" I ask slowly walking towards him. He is looking up at the ceiling now. He's avoiding eye contact. He's avoiding me. "Daniel, what happened? What's wrong?" I ask him gently, bravely taking a step forward so that I'm close to him hoping that he'll look at me.

"I'm sorry" he says after what feels like forever.

I stay silent trying to analyse as to why the last five minutes happened. We were just fine the last time we talked which was just hours ago. I can't seem to remember anything serious we had in the last conversation we had.

"Why? Why are you sorry Daniel?" He looks at me when his name slips out of my lips. He closes his eyes as he lets out a deep sigh. Like he's been holding it in for so long.

"Kiara, my god Kiara." He swiftly moves away from me and walks towards the back door entrance.

"Daniel wait!" I stop him rushing to his side. I even unconsciously grab his hand in the process of trying to stop him. He looks down at his hand in mine. "Please, just tell me what happened."

"You'll hate me for this" is the last thing my mind process before he crashes his lips on mine without warning.

*I apologise if there's any mistakes. I'm writing on my phone these days whenever I get time at work. Trust me, writing at home doesn't fit in my everyday routine now.*
