Chapter 41: Engagement Party

CLARY

It's been a long day and school made me stress, not to mention I keep thinking about Jace's offer. I haven't told anyone yet, I'm scared though that Jace would love me less if I decided not to move in with him. I sighed, classes were over and I'm on my way to the car with Izzy.

"What's wrong Clary?" Izzy asked me.

I look at her confusingly.

"Oh come on, I know something's wrong," Izzy says. I sighed

"Jace asked me to move in with him." I say.

"What? What did you say? Did you say yes?" She asked looking excited.

"Nope. I haven't answered him yet. I'm still thinking. You know we have all our secrets and I'm not ready to tell him some of mine yet...." I say.

"Well. I'm sure you'll both work things out..." She says.

Now my room is a mess. We are now preparing for Izzy and Jon's engagement, and with Izzy preparing with you boy it's so messy. I showered, put on some black lace undergarments, and grab my robe and left my room to grab something to drink, Jace was there first at the kitchen talking to Jon.

"Hey. Aren't you suppose to get ready?" I ask Jon and Jace. I can feel Jace looking at me with lust.

"Well, Jace and I here are talking about him asking you to move in....." He says smirking at me. He knows that I can't that's why he's mocking me.

"Oh, that...." I say drinking my glass of water, I seriously don't know what to say.

"Hey, it's alright love if you haven't made your decision yet...." Jace says looking at me. I smiled.

"So Jon when are you going to tell Izzy?" I asked.

"Oh that, I was wondering if I can now?" he says looking at me. I smiled.

"Ohh. That's a great Idea, Izzy is in the shower, surprise her...." I say. He stood up and was about to left when I grab his arm.

"Jon, no fucking in my bathroom...." I say. He smirks and left us.

JON

As I reach upstairs I quickly went into my room to grab the ring and went immediately in Clary's bedroom which to my surprise is in a great mess. I shook my head and went into her bathroom which is wide open, I saw Izzy on the shower well not clearly because of the moist that's on the glass.

"Izzy...." I say. From the door frame. She turned the shower off.

"Oh, Jon. Wait...." She says as she hop out of the shower and grabbing a towel and wrapped it around her. I gulp, I look at her every inch of her body is beautiful, her raven hair she's indeed beautiful.

"What is it?" She says in front of me.

"I. Ummm. Listen I wanted to tell you something." I say. Looking at her. She smiled and cupped my cheeks looking into my eyes.

"What is it...." She asked.

"Alright, I know this isn't what you're expecting but .." I say then kneeling down, I saw Izzy looked at me shocked. "I know we're both engaged, but hey I love you. I love you from the moment I laid my eyes on you, I know it's too late to tell you this, but I was too blinded by the fact that I can't get into Aline's pants before anyway, you know what I mean. God I suck at this....." I say letting out a chuckle, I opened the little box that I'm holding pushing it up for Izzy to see.

"Isabelle Sophia Lightwood, I love you will you marry me? Like for real?..." I asked. Izzy gasped the moment she heard what I said, and the moment she saw the ring, she put a hand on her mouth like she can't believe this was happening now. I can see her she's about to cry before I say something she muttered a Yes, tackling me kissing me passionately on the floor. She pulled away and smiled.
