Chapter 34 : Unexpected

CLARY
Monday

I groan and bolted upright, I was dreaming about Jace and I, then my ass of a brother keeps knocking on my door. I laid underneath of my pillow not wanting to get up. "Come in" I mumbled.

"You have to wake up Clare bear. It's the first day of school..." He says as he sits on the side of my bed and chuckled. I bolted up right again, feeling shocked, I forgot that it was the first day school today. I must've been thinking a lot because of what Celine told us last night. I smiled immediately.

Flashback

Jace and I are on his car driving our way back to the penthouse. He pulls over at the side and looks at me, I smiled at him. He cups my cheek, caressing it softly. I hummed, he leans in and kiss me slowly..

" Wait, till' I propose, Clary.." he mutters in between of our kisses. I pulled away and smiled at him. He glanced at me softly, tucking a strand of my hair to my ear, "you're cute when you blush.." he tells me, staring right to my eyes. My breathe hitches when I met his eyes, he kissed me again. Seconds later, he sighs and pulls away, he gets out of the car and went to my side to open the door. I glanced up at him, I know why he's feeling a bit off. 

"Do you want to go up?" I ask him nicely. He shook his head into a no, leaning on his car holding my right hand "you should go, Goodnight love." he says giving a peck on my hand.

My heart aches with him. How I wish I could wake up every single day with him. I stood closer to him. I pip toed and gave him a quick but soft peck on his temple, "Goodnight Jace.."
He engulfs me in to a hug, sniffing my hair.. I sigh as I hug him back, whispering something he loves. He pulls away and stares at me, I smiled genuinely, "Always.." he muttered. I nodded and wave at him, turning away to go inside of our building.

End of Flashback.

"You really have to get ready... stop zoning out and can you drive yourself to school? Because I'm bringing the Range and the usual Izzy, Alec, Simon, well plus Maureen," Jon says, I looked at him with the questioning look. Then it came to me, that Jace and I haven't told them about last night.

"I don't have a choice, it's Simon.." he simply says, I rolled my eyes, groaning pulling myself off from the bed. I really need to get ready, I tell myself.

"Fine. See you at school?" I asked, because he's already dressed and was about to leave. He nodded and we both went downstairs, I saw Izzy wearing a pencil cut skirt and a turtle neck top and booties. I grabbed some pancakes which I don't know who prepared but I know it wasn't Izzy because it tasted good.

"It's good right???" Izzy asks, with a grin. I nodded, "Good. Because I made those..." I almost choked. Alec and Jon laughed,  "what? Really? Good for you Izzy, now that you and Jon are engaged Jon won't die because of food poisoning." I say, Izzy groaned.
"Damn you Fairchild. You better get ready and fast!!! You know how we usually hang before the bell...." She says. By that she walked out, leaving Alec, Jon and Simon on pursuit. Alec and Jon pecked me on the forehead, Simon just looked at me and left. We haven't talked yet since that Maureen incident. I sighed.

I got up washed the dishes and went upstairs. Quickly showered and looked for something to wear. After minutes or so, I finally settled for all white. A white cropped top, and a white jeans and a gray vans. I looked at my full length mirror and fixed my curls, put on some lip gloss, grabbed my Fairchild and Morgenstern ring put it on my chain necklace and put it under my shirt, grabbed my stuffs and left. As I reached down stairs, I looked on my phone to check what time it is, great it's almost 7:30 Izzy would be pissed, yet again she had a bad habit also for being fashionably late. I grinned and grabbed my Maseratti Keys.
