Meanwhile at Brooklyn
JACE

Since Clary and Jon left to go to the city with their Mom, Bass and I went straight home from the Institute.

As we both arrived at our place, I keep thinking of Jon and Izzy, I mean Jon loves her and Izzy loves him they're just too blind to realize it. They've been together for like 3 years, I mean they're both sleeping together since freshman yr. Then I remember Aline, Aline's been in love with Bass since we were kids, it all changed when they arranged the engagement, Aline let her feelings slide and agreed on everything for the sake of business, and Bass, well he did the same too. I know Bass still loves her just that many things changed. As I plopped myself on the couch after changing into comfortable clothes, I sighed I'm bored what can I do, Clary's busy my life is revolves around her, with her I got nothing do.

Soon Bass walked in looking at me curiously raising an eyebrow.

"The Great Jace Herondale, bored to death shocker..." Bass mocking me. I looked at him.

"Go to hell Bass." I say. He lets out a chuckle.

Hours later, we're both done eating dinner, as I wash the dishes I asked Bass one question that I know it bothers him also.

"So Bass, You and I both know that you still love Aline right?" I asked not looking at him, but I know he's shocked that I asked him that. I hear him sighed.

"Things changed," he simply stated "the marriage is cancel, you can go after her now.." I told her.

"Well, I was thinking about it the other day, but I want to take it slow.. I really don't know what will I do if I push it so fast, then ends up being arrange to marry someone..." he says with a sigh.

"I get it.. We all know how mad Valentine is, when it comes to business...But it's good that you're going to pursue her again.."

It was almost 9 when I got a text from Clary that she's already home with Jon that we'll both see each other tomorrow at school, and it was also 9 that I received a text from the street wars. I smirked. Hey I got nothing to do, it's not a bad thing it's not like I'm cheating or something, besides Bass clearly told me that he doesn't want me to tell Clary about me racing. I smirked and knock in Bass's door.

"Bass, I'm going out..." I say, I hear him getting up from his bed. Soon he's on the door looking at me.

"Where are you going?" He asked. I take out my phone and give it to him. He took it and read it, he smirks and look at me.

"I'm coming with you..." He says a grin.

" Great. Disguise Bass. Disguise. Don't want anyone to recognize us...." I say. He nodded.

After few minutes, we are both downstairs, wearing jeans and black shirt, beanies, and some glasses.

Now we are in Bronx, parking not too far as possible from Eric's. Bass and I both hop out of our Mustang's I can hear cheers, music booming.

"So where's the girl you beat?" Bass asked me as I lean on my hood looking around. I already saw Eric and her girlfriend, but the girl that I beat wasn't here.

"She's not here..." I say.

"That's bad I'm looking forward to racing her..." Bass says. I smirk.

"Are you sure you don't want Clary in this? I mean I can tell her about me, not to mention she already raced when we fought..." I asked. Bass light some smoke, offering me some I took it and light it.

"Just don't Jace. We don't want to push her into this. She may know about Jon, and this but let her focus on you and arts...." He says.

"But I can't sneak forever..." I told him.
