this chapter took me longer because I got a really nasty message a few days ago about this book and my writing and honestly, I was ready to delete it.

"It's good?" Naala asked feeding Hassan a piece of the fresh bread she baked.

"I like it," He nodded pulling her between his legs, "What made you make it?"

"It was Nasir's favorite, I haven't made it since he died," Naala answered quietly, putting more up to his mouth.

"You did good baby," He said kissing her cheek and then her lips. Naala smiled lightly and put the plate down.

"No you don't," Naala scoffed, "You use me, I just let you," She shrugged.

"I don't use you Naala, you know you're the only woman I've ever loved," He said to her,

"Didn't you say that in your wedding vows to Mia?" Naala laughed shaking her head, "She got out and I'm still stuck,"

"Whatchu mean she got out?" Hassan frowned at her,

"Do you see Mia still hung up on you? How many times do you even see your daughter in a year?" Naala questioned,
