"Wake up sleepy head!" I groan and grab my pillow, tight.
"Ouch!" I jolt up, oops my pillow was Jess' leg. I muster an apologetic expression amongst my lazy face. Jess simply rolls her eyes,
"You slept for nearly the whole 8 hours. And did I mention you snore?" I gasp,
"I do not snore" everyone laughs and nods. My face flushes with embarrassment. I stretch out my arms and whack someone in the face, a rather more manly grunt comes from it, I jump back again. Holy crap! I forgot Shaun was here,
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Are you ok?"
"Well I feel loved! All I got was a lazy face." whines Jess. Shaun laughs,
"Do you want some cheese with that wine?" Jess does a sarcastic laugh then goes back to staring out the window. I look up at Shaun and give him a head nod of approval for what he said to Jess. He chuckles and winks at me. My face goes beet red and I turn away. What was that about? Damnit face, why you so mean to me!!!
"WE ARE HEEEEEEERE" yells Kaydence from the front. I jump onto Jess's lap and look out the window. It's Sydney alright, hundreds of people crowding pathways, traffic and a loud noise from every direction. Home!
"I wish sydney wasn't so big, we still have to drive half an hour to get to your little suburb" groans Jess.
"Well then, let's go shopping!!" I say excitedly. Kaydence pulls the break down hard, we all jolt forward.
"That's an AMAZING idea!" She exclaims. Jess glares at me,
"What have you gotten us into" Shaun looks worried.
"Don't worry sugar, we shop good and fast" assures Kay. Jess grabs him,
"Don't believe her lies! We are going to be here forever." Shaun chuckles and ruffles Jess's hair.
"It's alright you and I can go to Starbucks."
I notice a small change of colour amongst Jess's freckles. "Have fun ladies" Shaun winks at me and walks to Starbucks. I get dragged into the closest shoe shop that Kay finds. There are some crazy ass shoes in here. Kay instantly grabs a pear of leopard print super high wedges with open toes. She is obsessed with leopard print and the clerk looks amused as she walks into the change-room with a leopard print fur bag, the heels and leopard sunglasses.
I appear less easy to impress, I stare at a pair of sweet, baby blue sandal-heels and pull them off their stoop. Just as I am about to examine the price Kay flies out of the dressing rooms squealing,
"I'LL TAKE THEM, ALL OF THEM. MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!" Then I find myself being used as a trolly and three shopping bags are dumped on my face.
"Ouch"
"Oh stop complaining. I'm the one that should be complaining. They had run out of leopard print stockings." Whines Kaydence. I glare at her through a hole in the bags.
"Brat" I mutter.
"Hey" she pouts. I attempt to kick her but the result is me tripping her into Shaun who just walked in, when she falls I trip over her and the bags fly into the air leaving us in a heaped mess, sprawled across the floor and Jess looking like George of the Jungles girlfriend.
"Why is there a bag on my face?" Asks Jess stupidly. We all groan at her and get up slowly. I feel a hand on my ass, I whip around and see Shaun with a sneaky smile,
"Sorry" I roll my eyes and step up. Suddenly, an arm comes flying at me face, I get whacked on the forehead,
"I CANT BELIEVE YOU DID IT THAT" screams Kay. I hold my head, damn that girl can hit,
"WHAT THE HELL DUDE" I yell back.
"Ladies ladies" Shaun jumps in.
"But out of it" we chorus. He holds his hands up in surrender. I glare at Kaydence and she glares back, our eyes narrow she I sigh and hold my arms out. She runs into them,
"Love you babe" she says,
"Love you too girl" Jess does an exaggerated sigh and waves her hand towards the car. We get back in and drive for a further 30 minutes in the traffic. I jump out of the car, slam the door in Shaun's face, sprint through my stone pebbled path to my big red door and knock impatiently.
The door slowly opens,
"DAD!"
"Ally!"
