"How about in New Year, we will celebrate it with you. Do you want that?"
Napaisip naman ako sa sinabi ni tita Lucille, hindi kasi sila totally makakasama sa Christmas, kasi dito lang sila sa bahay nila. Tumingin naman ako kay Sev, siya naman ay nakatingin lang kay tita na bumalik sa paglilinis ng kitchen matapos kong tumango sa kanya.
Pasko na mamaya and they will celebrate it here, I want sana ay kasama namin sila sa bahay. But then they can't.
"I will help you po. I sometimes wash the dishes po" I said to tita and I stood up near the sink.
"Really?" tita said like it's impossible for me to learned that. Mommy wants me to learn household chores, so I sometimes watch our maids doing that.
"Yes po, but just the small plates and glass and spoons and fork" I said and pulled Sev's hand, so he can help as well. "You will help too, right?"
He's about to complain, but I explained to him what kind of help he will do. He will just get the used kitchenware so tita can wash those, then I will put it in the table to wipe it with a clean cloth.
He then agreed to me and do the thing I asked him to do. Tita just smiled at us and wait for the things that Sev will gave her. Then she will give it to me.
After we finished cleaning the kitchen, we then went to their sala. I suddenly remember about the church for later.
"Are you going in the church later po?" I asked tita again, because Sev said that he's not sure if they will.
Tita nodded at me with a smile. Tita is holding her tummy with a smile, she don't have a big tummy yet, just like Mom, but I'm excited for their baby. Makikipaglaro din ako sa kanya. Sana 'di din siya katulad ng kuya niya na tahimik.
After a few minutes, tita said that I must go home. Sev walked me home.
"Why are you sad earlier? Sumakit ba ang ngipin mo bigla or what? Gusto mo punta kami dito later?" I asked him that while we are walking towards our house.
"Nah" he said while shaking his head. "I'm not sad"
"Nye! Nye! Ako pa talaga ang lolokohin mo, e ako ang best friend mo"
"Just don't mind what ever happened earlier. See you in the church" he said when we finally got in front of our gate.
"Okay. See you" sabi ko at pumasok na sa loob.
Mom said I should rest first, then she will inform me if it's time for me to prepare for the mass already. The food is already prepared in the kitchen, Mom just covered it. We are all in the sala and watching cartoons.
"It's time to get ready" mom said after a while. We then leave dad in the sala and we both went upstairs to prepare. "Mabilis lang naman maligo ang daddy mo" sabi ni mommy habang naglalakad kami sa hagdan. "Maiinip lang 'yun kung siya pa ang mauna maligo sa atin, kaya tayo na lang ang mauna" dagdag pa niya kaya naman pareho kaming natawa.
After I finished fixing myself, I looked at myself in the mirror. I'm wearing a red dress with a ribbon in my hair. I look like Snow White. I then smile and went downstairs.
"Sweetheart!" dad called mom when he saw me going down. What happened?
"Bakit po daddy? May masakit po ba sa inyo? Ano po ang nangyare?" tanong ko at lumapit agad sa kanya.
Dad is just looking at me, like he saw something that shocked him.
"Ano po ba ang nangyare daddy?" tanong ko ulit dahil hindi naman siya sumagot kanina e.
