3rd person POV
- the morning after prom -
Avery was having breakfast with her parents and has kept her phone silent and away from her.
After last night's events, she didn't feel like talking to anyone and wanted her own space.
"So you want to be staying in our rest house for a while?" Mr. Jung clarified
"That's right dad."
With the thought of "wanting her own space", she decided to ask her parents if she can be staying in their rest house for a week or two just to clear her head.
"I know that this means I'll be skipping school, but I need this for myself. I'll make it up to you guys and catch up with my lessons as soon as I get back" Avery assured, really wanting time for herself.
The married couple shared a look and later came to an agreement
"Okay. We'll allow it. But we're gonna have to go for some groceries and you have to make sure you aren't skipping any meals"
Avery felt a sense of relief at her mother's response
"Got it."
"Are you sure everything's okay honey? You can always talk to us" Her father asked worriedly
"I'm okay dad. I just want this for myself" she smiled to make her dad not worry as much
After that was settled, she went to her room and packed a bag to leave.
"Are you ready darling?"
"I'll be down in a minute!"
As they were on their way to the grocery store, Avery checked her phone and saw the number of calls she missed from Jay and the messages he left.

Her heart ached at his messages and felt her eyes welling up, but she didn't allow herself to cry. She checked her other messages which were from her friends
