Ch. 4: Welcome to Monstadt!

Y/N POV

Unknown Person: Who's there!?

The dragon-like creature started to growl louder and the wind became stonger, Paimon clinged onto my hair while aether grabbed my bag tightly. The stranger suddenly disappeared and the creature also flew away. It took a moment for us to process what just happened .

Paimon: That was a really strong wind, luckily Paimon managed to grab hold of Y/N's hair.
Aether: Same thing with Y/N's bag, it was heavy enough to support me.
Y/N: So I'm suddenly everyone's human version of a coat rack!?
Aether: Well, for now atleast..
Paimon: Hey the wind was almost strong as a tornado's wind! For a person like me that always floats and rarely touch the ground, i was almost done for!

Y/N: The wind was really a cold breeze too, if i didn't take any caffeine before i came here i would've been asleep.
Paimon: Caffeine? Wasn't it daytime when you encountered the unknown god and when she trapped you in this world?
Y/N: It was at dusk when the ship took off, and nighttime when she sent me here. You see, before that happened i just came back from doing exams and a workout.

Aether: You did a right choice on taking caffeine, or else something bad would've happen.
Y/N: Ehe, i always take Caffeine before going on an adventures back at my place. Oh and i also take painkillers just incase!

All of us then continued our journey, it was another silent moment until a few minutes later i started to feel a little weird.

"W-wait what's happening..."

Suddenly i was thrown up in the sky, and fell back immediately. Paimon and Aether suddenly ran to me, what just happened...

Paimon: That happened in a blink of an eye! Paimon hopes you don't get any concussion!
Aether: A-are you okay Y/N!? That fall was harsh and i hope you didn't get any cuts!

I stand up and dusted my clothing and fixed my bag onto it's right position. I tucked a few strands of my hair behind my ears.

Y/N: It happened so fast, i feel like anemo magic is messing with me..
Paimon: Hey do remember when Y/N touched the statue of Barbatos? Paimon thinks that the statue did give Y/N anemo magic but the light didn't show.
Aether: I agree what you think, and Y/N's body probably can't take anemo magic..

Y/N: My body can't take anemo magic? Well that's reasonable, I'm an earthling plus earth doesn't use magic. B-but do you know any spell that temporarily makes my bag disappear and i can bring it out anytime when i want to.
Paimon: Paimon was worried from the start when you start to carry such heavy things all the time! Your shoulders are probably swelling!
Aether: Mhm i do, it's a good thing you asked. It's not good to carry heavy things for a long time, specially if you're travelling.

Aether mumbled something and clapped his hands. Suddenly my bag disappeared out of thin air and my shoulders are finally be able to breathe.

Y/N: Thank you so much, Aether! My shoulders were crying for help, even if i frequently work out there are limits to where your strength takes you.
Aether: You're welcome, now shall we continue on?

Me and paimon nodded and start to walk on the grassy fields, we encountered many small fields and trees on the way. It was then when we see a cliff, we managed to stand there and a few meters away i see the outside a city.

Paimon: Look! There's Monstadt, the city of freedom! It's also known for worshipping the wind god, Barbatos!
Y/N: This is probably where your sister went through! But wait, how do we get off this cliff?
Aether: Since you can't fly, I'll carry you.

I blushed at the sudden boldness, well of course silly. I'm the only one in this world who doesn't have any powers.

"Hold on tight"

Aether carried me bridal style while he summoned his own wings, wait there's probably another name for those things.

"Here we go!"

Aether said as he jumped off the cliff and Paimon did too, wow it's every human's dream on my world to fly like this without the use of technology. I grabbed aether's neck tightly, not too much as we passed by a small lake.

Once we crossed the lake, aether landed on the ground smoothly while paimon stopped flying. Aether then dropped me on the ground slowly.

Paimon: we just need to walk more, well for Paimon it's a different story. I can see the entrance of the city in here.
Aether: I hope I'll be able to collect information about my sister on that city.

We continue to walk through another grassy field but this time we see some chests, mostly the ones i see on pirate movies. That's until....

"Hey, you three! Stop right there!"

A feminine voice called out, ugh it's reminding of how the unknown god suddenly went on the ship i was in before she sent me here.

There we saw a brunette girl jumped off a mini cliff and landed infront of us.

"May the Anemo god protect you, stranger. I'm Amber, Outrider for the knights of Favonius!"

Paimon: Uhh hello--

Amber: You don't look like Citizens of Monstadt. Explain yourselves!
