"Well, don't you have any friends? That's not a rude question, is it?" I sighed.

"Ever heard of a girl named Drew?" Warren thought for a second but nodded.

"Yea. She tried making Bobby break up with Rouge last year. Caused a bunch of matchmaking drama. Kitty was pissed."

"Well, near the end of the year last year, she said that she was giving me a summer to think about whether or not I wanted to go out with her. And where she was pretty, I wasn't up for it. So when this year rolled around, and Drew asked, I said no. She got all mad at me and tried using her charmspeak, but I kept shaking the charmspeak off. So...then she decided she needed to ruin my life." Warren frowned.

"That's not very nice of her."

"No. No it isn't. Nor does it make much sense because I am a mutant, and everything about her says her type is more like...Captain America." Warren nodded in agreement.

"Yeah. And, Bobby rejected Drew, but she hasn't been trying to ruin his life."

"Yeah, because you X-men always travel in a pack. You guys are never alone. You insult one X-men and twenty more appear out of nowhere to defend them!!" Warren thought about that for a moment before nodding again.

"You do have a point there." I sighed and stood up.

"Drew may be a jealous girl, but she isn't stupid. She knew if she ruined Bobby's life, she'd have a bunch of angry mutants on her tail. " I turned around, only to slam into...yep. Drew. Her lunch (something with mashed potatoes) ended up on her shirt when our trays collided, and fell onto her shoes.

She was not impressed.

"You, freak!!" Drew snarled, loud enough to get everyone's attention.

"Look, I'm really sorry-." I stammered, trying to apologize. She wasn't having it.

"I can't believe you just did that!!"

"I said I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-."

"Do you know, how much this shirt cost?!"

"Obviously a lot, otherwise you wouldn't be making a big deal-."

"You're such a freak!! I bet your three little toes are the reason why you tripped, turtle boy!!" Some students started chuckling, while I blushed. I didn't wear shoes (hard to find a pair that would fit) and part of me doubted that three toes had anything to do with it, but the rest of me was just too embarrassed to say anything. She was verbally slamming me in front of the entire school—or, at least part of the school.

"Leave him alone, Drew. It was just an accident." Warren said, standing up. She growled, turning her attention towards him.

"Sit down Angel boy!!" I saw Warren's eyes cloud briefly before he shook it off.

"No. Leo is my friend. What happened wasn't his fault."

"He's right you know." Donnie added in, from his table.

"Technically, all Leo did was stand up and turn around. You were the one who ran into him, because you weren't paying attention, which means this whole problem is your fault." I shot Donnie a grateful smile. He smiled back, shooting me a thumbs up. Turtles stick together, even here.

"Ugh!!" My cheek began to burn as Drew reached over and slapped me.

"I hate-"

"What is going on here?" Professor Charles Xavier asked, rolling in. Maybe he sensed the commotion with his telepathy...or someone could've gone to get him. One of the X-Men was a teleported after all.

"Nothing Professor." I lied, not wanting to make this any worse than it already was. He raised an eyebrow.

"Leonardo..."

Drew ended up with three days of detention. I ended up with visits to the guidance counselor. It could've been worse, in all honesty.

Warren continued hanging out with me, even when the other X-men offered him a seat at their table. He claimed he wanted to be my friend, sorta like a Guardian Angel. I told him never to refer to himself as my Guardian Angel again.

I wasn't lonely like I was before, and I started making new friends. Drew left me alone, and my life started looking up.

So High school wasn't so bad.

Or maybe it was.

I guess it just depends on your luck.

I know, not the best chapter. I was heading for drama, and I don't think I got there.

The next chapter will be my Valentines special, and I hope I get it posted today.

Anyway, the song that won is Centuries, by the Fall out Boy. Great song if I do say so myself.

Next two chapters are going SHS. Yes, the Valentine special is going to be a short.

Anyway, peace and love heroes!!
