The next day, Can phoned Metin and he called the prosecutor to have him check on Polen's status. The report came back that after an investigation; Polen had been given special privileges by the staff. Her father had been sending them money to let her have a computer, see or visit with anyone, counseling stopped, and able to mail letters without being inspected by staff. The prosecutor presented his findings before a Judge, and Polen was again restricted from special privileges and moved to Bakırköy Psychiatric Hospital. Her Father had to pay a large amount of money as a fine for interfering with the legal system. The Judge also, ordered that Polen resume counseling. Again, Can and Sanem were free from Polen's interference in their life.
Ozge and Pinar visited one more time with Ian before leaving Turkey. Their Anneanne was released from the hospital and doing well. Ozge was going to Ireland with her sister, for a long visit, so she would not be bothering Can and Sanem again. She again apologized profusely for trying to interfere with their life. Sanem hugged her goodbye, but Can just gave her a one handed pat on the shoulder. He still did not quite trust her.
Sanem and Can continued with their day-to-day life without any further interference from outside sources. The next weekend all of the Grandparents spent the weekend with the children, so that Can and Sanem could have time away. Most of their "dates" had been an evening out every couple of weeks, but the elder family members decided it was time they had a couple of days. Can and Sanem returned from their weekend away refreshed and happy. They loved their children dearly, but sometimes grown-up time is necessary.
Sanem had noticed that Leyla did not seem very happy. She put on a good act for family, her children, and co-workers, but Sanem felt something was off. She invited Leyla and her children to come spend the day with her and the children. Leyla was still only working about three days a week, so it worked out well to invite them over.

When Leyla and the children arrived, Ahu was excited to see the three babies down on the floor playing. She hugged Sanem and the animals, and then she went and sat down on the floor and asks her Anne to put baby Altan on the blanket with her.
