I wasn't able to react at once when the name of our party was called.

"Kuya. Tayo unang sasalang. Buena mano tayo ngayon. Makakauwi tayo ng maaga."

My older brother toothily smiled and waved excitedly at me. Sumigaw pa nga ito ng "Kapatid ko yan! Hoo!" to cheer me even from afar. I waved back at my brother, even though it was a little bit awkward. But I was more caught up by Daniel's facial expression. Narinig kaya niya ang sinasabi no'ng player na nakakilala sa'kin bilang may-ari ng Ember Amulet?

After all, Daniel is a full Divine Player. It's near to possible that he might have heard the words from that player whom I didn't look at. He was just staring at me from up there, with that worried expression. Since I dumped some undistributed points on my sight range, I could see my brother and Daniel clearly from afar.

With closed eyes I heaved an unnoticeable breath to calm myself and refocus my mind as we ascended to the battle cube.

I heard Steve's voice, which made me open my eyes. When I turned to him, I saw that he wasn't actually looking at me when he said those words. Instead, I saw his confident smile as he faced the battle cube. Hindi ko alam na napansin pala niya ang buntong-hininga ko.

"Koji, stay inside my bag, okay?" I requested the Scythed Spirit, and he went inside my satchel as I turned my vision forward when we reached the battle cube's surface.

At tulad nga ng napansin ko, mas malaki na nga ang ibabaw ng battle cube kaysa no'ng nakaraan. Ngayon ay pwede na talaga ang long ranged strikes at surface-dependent spells. I looked on the northern and southern sides of the battle cube, since Steve and I came from the platform which was on the western part.
