Chapter 45: Daniel in The Ember Sovran's Den

"Level 355?!" gulat na bulalas ni Steve. "Sampung Health bars na may kasamang tatlong Shield bars pa?! Agik."

Kahit ako man ay nagulat sa sobrang taas ng level ng dungeon boss. Tsaka bakit Ember Sovran? Hindi kaya... connected ang title ng dungeon boss na 'yon sa Ember Amulet ko?

"What the hell is a Sovran doing in a newly built Sky Province?" I heard Daniel say in a very worried tone, which made me turn to him.

"Sovran? You know what kind of boss is that?" nagmamadali kong tanong. Pero hindi nakasagot si Daniel dahil biglang nagsalita ng sobrang lakas ang nakakadenang nilalang, na naturingan palang isang dungeon boss.

"Lowly beings! You dare show yourselves, while bringing the very possession that you stole from me! Then you seek nothing more than death from my hand!" the Dungeon Boss's deep monstrous voice thundered in the dungeon room.

Nanlaki ang mga mata ko nang marinig ko ang sinabi ng Dungeon boss. He knows I'm here. Hagurimani knows that I have the Ember Amulet with me! That could only be the meaning behind his words.

Right after Hagurimani said that, he removed himself from the wall that had roots, and floated in the air with chains still connected to his back. Nagulat kami dahil isa sa mga kadena ay biglang umangat mula sa pagkakabaon nito, at may kasama nang talim sa dulo. Hagurimani seemed to be controlling it as it was aimed to hit Koji.

We jumped away like grasshoppers and we saw how the chains with sharp tips pinned themselves on the floor. Pero hindi pa man din kami nakaka-lapag sa sahig, dumating ang mas maraming kadena sa amin. The chains were so fast that Steve, Sedna and I weren't able to dodge from those.

Nasa crictial levels na rin ang mga health bars nilang dalawa. We were pinned on the high parts of the pillars. Even Koji was on the pillars. Walang nakabaon sa kanya pero nakabalot naman sa kanya ang napakaraming kadena ni Hagurimani at hindi rin ito maka-alis kahit anong pilit niya.

"N-Narum... Yog... Nar...um"

Kahit ang pagbigkas ng health regen spell ay di ko magawa dahil sa bigat na nararamdaman ko at sa nakabaong mga kadena sa tiyan ko. I slowly looked down below and saw Daniel. Using his rapier, he was parrying all the chains that were trying to pin him down.
