Chapter 26: 'No Damage Received' Part 2

Marami nang players ang nauna sa amin na sumalang sa elimination round. There were all sorts of players of different races. Kakaiba rin ang mga galawan, spells, at skills nila. During the time Steve and I were waiting for our turn, I told him that we should talk about our strategy as a duo.

Habang pinapanood namin ang ibang players na lumaban, ginagawa namin silang example ng mga "what if, ito ang nakalaban natin; ito ang gagawin natin" na mga klase ng usapan namin. We told each other what combos with our spells we could use against them. Nalaman na din kasi ni Steve na may bago akong wand.

He was actually surprised. Siguro dahil hindi usual na magkaroon ng wand ang mga healer gaya ko. I could only guess that it's usually Codices that are given to healers. But I did clarify to him that it was given to me by my brother. He didn't say anything else after I said that. Nakakatawa dahil ito 'yong sinabi ni Kuya na sabihin ko kapag may nagtanong tungkol sa wand.

"Ayan Kuya, isang pares ng parties na lang ang maglalaban, then we're next. Kinakabahan ka ba Kuya?" Steve asked me in a chuckle.

"Well, pretty much." I said with crossed arms while my eyes were focused on watching the match being displayed in the wide screen in front of us. "Let's just do our best. Maintain na lang natin na hindi tayo malaglag sa Battle Cube. At least 'yon, magagawa natin ng maayos."

"There you have it! The winner of the fifth match is the Argus Punks Duo!" the announcer declared and the players watching in the arena cheered, and catcalled for the winners.

"And now, the winning parties of the 4th and 5th Match are to battle with each other to determine who'll be in the Second slot for our Top 30 Semi-Finalists!" the announcer said.

Hindi na umalis mula sa Battle Cube ang Argus Punks, dahil tatawagin na ang isa pang nanalo kanina para kalabanin naman sila. The two members of Argus Punks are TRD Jinkyou and Thunder Nuke.

TRD Jinkyou is a male Roidin Beast Morph Werewolf, a Battle mage with a Spell-Bound Weapon subclass since he uses claw gauntlets. Ang kasama niya na si Thunder Nuke ay isang Axisian Lightning Battle mage, na may Wand Wielder Subclass.

May mga lumipad na voluntary staff ng event na dalawang Fairy Healers. These fairy healers came shortly to heal the two players who won. With their healing spells, they regenerated the mana and health bars of Argus Punks back to full. Matapos nilang gawin 'yon, ay lumipad na paalis ang dalawang fairy healers.

"And now, Gorgon TFC and Kagezake from the party, Lag Busters, our previous match's winner; will challenge the Argus Punks for the third slot of our Top 30 Semi-Finalists!"

Mula sa kabilang dulo ng mga grupo ng mga benches dito sa baba, umalis na si Gorgon at Kagezake para tumungtong sa floating platform na mag-aangat sa kanila papunta sa ibabaw ng battle cube.

Nakita na namin sila lumaban kanina. It was OGG7 vs Lag Busters for the first game, and Izhvak Tolken vs Argus Punks for the second game. Ang nanalo sa unang game ng third set ay Lag Busters na party, at sa second game naman ay ang Argus Punks.

Nakuha ko na kung paano ang setup ng games dito. Every set has three games. Dahil apat ang party na nasa isang set, kailangan isa lang ang matira. So the first two games where two separate fights of 2v2's. The third game will determine which party will have the slot.

Gorgon TFC is a male Rayoma [Ranged] Berserker Assassin, with a Metal Alchemist subclass. Kagezake is a male Shadow Axisian Battle Mage, with a Staff Wielder subclass. They were also powerful players and their synchronized movements was what made them defeat the opposing party, OGG7, in a matter of 43 Seconds. Gano'n nila kabilis natalo ang mga kalaban nila. Talk about fast knockout.
