***Freed's p.o.v***

Ever, Bickslow and I walked in the guildhall and glanced around for Rachel. We thought about taking a mission today and thought we could ask Rachel to accompany us. Not finding her anywhere, we headed to the bar to ask Mira of her whereabouts.

"Morning Freed, Evergreen, Bickslow. Can I get you guys anything?" Mira asks us sweetly.

"No thank you Mira, but we were wondering if you've seen Rachel around? We were hoping to ask her to join us on a mission," I asked her.

"Oh Rachel? She's hanging out with Prism today. She wanted to catch up after being separated for so long," Mira says with a soft smile.

***Rachel's p.o.v***

I'm currently walking through the streets of Magnolia, Prism flying beside me.

"Boi Howdy if it isn't Rachel!"

I turn at the voice. "Nick! It's good to see you! How's the hardware shop doing?" I asked him.

"Good as usual. Your guild always knows how to keep me busy," he chuckles.

"Yeah, sorry about that," I chuckled as Prism lands on my shoulder.

"Oh! Who's this fella?" Nick asks.

"Oh, this is my spirit friend, Prism," I responded.

"Well, howdy Prism. It's nice to meet ya," Nick says politely.

Prism hoots happily back in greeting.

"It was nice to see you again Nick. Good luck with the shop!" I shouted heading out.

"Take care Rachel," Nick shouts back as I wave.

***Timeskip***

After walking through town, I headed up to the forest. Prism hoots behind me asking where we are going.

"There's something I would like to show you. It's a side project I've been working on," I responded to her.

Soon enough, we arrived at a small dead section of the forest.

Prism hoots confused.

I chuckle, "This part of the forest has pretty much been always dead. I was hoping to try and fix it. Only a few of the townspeople know about this project and have been trying to help out as well. It's been a lot of work, but hopefully it will be a beautiful garden one day."

Prism hooted happily in agreement.

After that Prism and I hung out, running around and playing through the forest like we used to. Just enjoying each other's company. We even did a bit of training.

It was now late in the afternoon and Prism and I were sitting in a tree overlooking the town, watching the sunset.

"Just like old times huh," I muttered. Prism agrees with a small hoot.

"Prism... I'm sorry," I whispered.

Prism turns to me with a confused look.

"I-I hid you away. For such a long time, I'm sorry. You were always there for me when I needed you, but I couldn't be there for you when you needed me. I imprisoned you. I refused you your freedom. I'm so sorry," I sobbed.

Prism flies in front of my face and wipes my tears away with her wings.

"You were trying to protect me. You didn't have any other option. There's no need to apologize. You were trying to keep me safe. I thank you for that. I do not regret what happened and neither should you. We made it through this together, it was hard for both of us to be apart. Now we are back together and together we can push forward. This time we aren't alone either. Now we have friends we can trust by our side," Prism hoots softly.
