I was nervous coming in to work today, having taken a couple of days off.

I was such a mess this morning and Yejoon running around making a mess in my room didn't help.

He's been into hiding things and it took me a while to find my favorite pair of flats.

"Good morning!" Sungjae's voice projects from behind me.

Turning around, I catch him jogging my way.

"Morning, Sungjae." I smile, noticing how his cheeks were rosy.

He puts his hands on his hips, looking at the sky as he avoids eye contact.

"So this date..."

I nod my head, covering my mouth from my huge smile.

"Let's get to work. We have all day to plan it."

Sungjae agrees and lightly turns me around to head inside.

As I open the door, I end up crashing into someone flying out, knocking the contents of my bag out.

Looking up, I see that it's Taehyung.

My smile slides off my face.

Taehyungs eyes widen, looking at me.

"I'm sorry," I say starting to gather my things up.

I freeze when my hands hover over the divorce papers.

Taehyung turns his head and looks down at them.

My face turns red, Sungjae surely seeing them as well.

Taehyung slides them his way, but quickly starts to help gather my other things into my bag, silently.

He understands.

He didn't fight it.

Why does that hurt me...this much?

"Here you go. The papers were for me, right?"

I keep my head down, my eyes tearing up.

I feel Sungjae's hands gently helping me up, taking me away from Taehyung.

"Let's go, Jennie." Sungjae calmly talks to me as he pulls me along.

I turn around one last time, seeing Taehyung get in the car that pulled up at the front.

As he gets situated, he stares back through the window.

Although he kept himself composed in front of Sungjae, he couldn't keep himself composed now, looking like he's been slapped in the face.

I turn back around, continuing to follow Sungjae.

It's better for us both.
