"So", Bucky murmurs as we watch Bruce bring over a silver briefcase "This is how you did it."
Stood with Bucky beside the Quantum Tunnel Bruce has recreated one week later I hum placidly "This is how we did it." It'd taken some time but Bruce finally reassembled a Quantum Tunnel to return all the stones to their moment in time. From what he explained if we don't there is going to be a large chain reaction of alternative realities that will be created. I honestly didn't understand most of it since Tony normally dims it down for me- but the bottom line is the stones need to be returned for nothing in our present reality to change. Considering my current reality isn't all that bad I'd like to keep it this way. Naturally Steve is the one who volunteered to do the time jumping once Scott sourced some more Pym Particles for us. No matter the fight I put up Steve was adamant that it be him who goes back. Considering the man is built like a skyscraper I didn't put up much of a fight to begin with.
Stood with Bucky I listen to Bruce tell Steve "Now remember. You need to return the stones to the exact moment you got them or you're going to open up a bunch of nasty alternative realities."
"Don't worry Bruce", Steve assures him closing the lid on the glowing stones. Fliping the clips closed, Steve assertively nods "Clip all the branches."
After a momentI catch Bruce murmur "You know... I tried." Steve's curious eyes flickering upwards, Bruce admits "When I had the gauntlet, the stones, I really tried to bring her back." With a sad look down to Steve, Bruce quietly says "I miss her man."
"Me too", Steve replies just as regretfully.
With a final look, Steve wanders over to us with Sam by his side. After a second I catch Sam mention "You know if you want I could come with you."
Smiling with his hand on his Captain America belt, Steve tells him "You're a good man Sam. This one on me though." Both men share a small handshake before Steve wanders over to us. Seeing Steve's gaze set on Bucky I take a step off to the side. It's then that I see the dimmed expression on Bucky's face which has me watching the interaction curiously. Smiling, Steve mentions "Don't do anything stupid till I get back."
