"I can take you to Bucky", I blurt out

"I can take you to Bucky", I blurt out. Unable to have formed a sentence where that didn't sound shady. This is it. There's no going back. The secret I'd trued to bury is unraveling before my very eyes and I can't stop it.

"What do you mean?" Steve asks after a long second of silence. Sam handing Steve his shield. They must've come prepared in case anything like this occurred. "How do you know where he is?"

Twirling my fingers around I open a portal. Allowing the dark mist to roll around for a long moment I glance warily back to Steve "I think it's better if I show you."

"Can't I just fly?" Sam questions, staring uneasily towards my portal.

Pulling the best smirk I can despite the anxiety flipping around in my stomach, I hold my hands out to both of them "This is quicker. Trust me." Not giving Sam enough time to change his mind I grab his hand and yank the both of them through the portal and into the chilly Bucharest air. Closing the portal I supportively place my hand on Sam's back as he hurls his lunch onto the roadside "It gets easier Bird Boy."

Groaning Sam straightens up, tilting ever so slightly "Never ever again Addie- I'm serious."

The smirk on my lips falls away as I notice Steve staring at the building infront of us. His gaze scanning ever brick and window of the structure lit up in unusually sunny morning. Quietly, I say "This is it."

With a single nod, Steve pulls an earpiece from his suit. Tossing one to both Sam and me, Steve instructs "Sam eyes on the sky. Addie, you're with me." Nodding Sam yanks on the strap of his bags, his large metal wings shifting outwards. Watching him fly off into the sky, Steve turns to me. "Know which apartment?"

Oh boy, do I ever.

Silently praying Bucky isn't there so I can talk calmly to Steve first I open a portal. Jumping with Steve, out boots hit the hardwood with the familiar thud I've conjured so many times. Clasping my hand I close the portal behind me as quickly as we arrived. Conspicuously scoping the apartment to check if Bucky's here. A small sigh of relief finding its in fact empty. At least this gives me an opportunity to explain what's been going on- "What is this?"
