"Don't even start Adeline."

"I won't but don't expect me to not be telling anyone about this."

Leaning against the passenger door of the SUV I keep my head down as people pass me by. Every couple or so would walk past with a curious expression whilst others cross the street just to avoid me. It's always disheartening to see them so afraid of me; of what I can do. Their reactions shouldn't bother me, it's a stigma which has followed me my entire life. The fear of the unnatural power I possess, the mystery of what I could unleash. You would think after the Battle of New York they would see me in a better light but that just isn't the case.

"You're welcome", I hear Harley tell Tony as they approach the car.

Ceasing his flipping through the manila file, Tony shrugs Harley off "For what? Did I miss something?"

Smiling in his poncho and cowboy hat, Harley mentions "Me saving your life."

"A) Saved you first" Tony remarks with his eyes set ahead towards me "And B)...Thanks...Sort of. C) If you do someone a solid don't be a yutz. Otherwise, you come off grandiose." Smirking I roll my eyes. Like Tony doesn't come off like that all of the time.

"Unlike you?" Harley seems to have also caught on, calling Tony out. Stopping Tony in his tracks I watch him turn slowly to look at the young eager boy, "Admit it. You need me. We're connected."

Slumping his shoulders Tony look to me for support only to receive a shrug. No way was I going to intervene in this, it's too amusing. "Alright kid", Tony spins back to Harley "What I need is for you to go home, be with your mom, keep your trap shut, guard the suit and stay connected to the telephone because if I call you better pick up." Standing up straighter Tony looks to the sky, "Can you feel that? We're done here." Yanking open the driver's door, Tony brushes him aside "Move or I'm going to run you over."

Seeing Harley's deflated expression I jump in the passenger side, staring hard into the side of Tony's head. As Tony starts the engine I explain, "Tony that boy out there idolizes you. Are you seriously going to brush him aside after he did technically save our asses?"
