-Shawn Leaves For Tour-
-Shawn-
Brooke had practically slept over the whole week.
She had went home a few times to check on her mother but other than that she had practically lived at my house.
We never left each other's side.
Whether we were sitting in my room listening to music or we were in the family room watching a movie with everyone.
Right now we were laying on my bed. Our legs were tangled up and I was holding her hand playing with her fingers.
I had to leave in three hours and I could tell she was trying to hold back her tears.
"Babe?" I asked.
"Hm?" She said.
It was like the sound of my voice made her want to cry.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
She nodded and began to play with my fingers.
I sighed and rested my head on the top of hers.
Before I knew it my mom was yelling upstairs that I had to leave.
It hadn't hit me until right now.
As I stood up this huge weight was on my shoulders.
I actually felt like I wanted to back out.
I couldn't do it.
I felt Brooke's presence as she stood behind me.
I turned around to face her and she wrapped her arms around my neck.
I wrapped my arms around her waist.
"You're gonna do so great." She whispered. "I know it."
I chuckled.
"Shawn!" My mother yelled. "Now!"
I grabbed Brooke's had and led her downstairs.
-Airport-
My parents said goodbye and stood back as I walked towards the gate with Brooke.
"Shawn-" She whispered barely audible grabbing my hand.
I looked back at her tear filled eyes.
"I can't go any further." Her voice cracked.
"No don't cry baby." I whispered walking towards her.
"I can't help it." She whispered.
I grabbed her face and kissed her sweetly and softly.
Her hands stroked the side of my face.
She lightly kissed me once more before walking away.
I wasn't going to just let her walk away.
"Brooke!" I yelled.
She turned around and tears spilled out of her eyes.
I ran up to her and kissed her passionately as cheers erupted around us.
That's how we said goodbye.
-Chloe-
-Later-
"How do you feel?" I asked Brooke.
"I feel normal." She explained. "It just feels like he's at his house and I'm hanging out with you."
"Well that's good." I sighed.
-1 Month Later-
-Chloe-
"How do you feel?" I asked Brooke once again.
"I feel okay." She sighed leaning back.
"He called me all the time in the beginning and sent me all kinds of pictures. Like if he saw Brooklyn Avenue or a cute shirt for him or me or a picture of the girls and Austin. It's just not the same ya know?" She asked.
I nodded.
"What about you?" She asked.
"Im doing good actually." She smiled.
"Nash is coming here in two weeks."
"Two weeks?" She asked.
"What's in two weeks?"
"Thanksgiving."
(A/n Canadian Thanksgiving.)
"Oh my god I totally forgot!" She exclaimed. "Son of a bitch." She mumbled.
"Why?" I asked. I thought it was supposed to be happy.
"Well-" she explained. "Not only will Shawn not be home but my mom invited the Mendes' over for dinner and she's 'too sick' to cook so she so kindly offered that her lovely daughter would make it."
I giggled.
She groaned rolling over and stuffing her face in the pillow as I just laughed.
-Thanksgiving-
-Brooklyn-
I woke up to my mother shaking me.
"What,..." I groaned.
"You have to get up." She said.
"What time is it?" I asked.
"4:30."
"4:30?!" I exclaimed sitting up, now fully awake. "Holy mother of-"
"Would you like to finish that sentence?" She cut me off.
"Crap." I finished smiling which earned a smile from her too.
"Now come on get up."
I grabbed my phone and it indeed was 4:30.
I checked my messages and there was only one from Shawn saying he loved me at one im the morning.
He was three hours behind right now because they were currently in Washington.
I followed my mom as she slowly descended down the stairs.
She sat at the bar and instructed me on what to do.
After stuffing the turkey and putting it in the crockpot I turned around.
"Can I at least go take a shower and get ready?"
"Yeah of course." She said. "Be quick."
"Quick my butt." I said to myself.
It took me about an hour, I took a 10 minute shower and then blew dry and straightened my hair which only takes about 40 minutes.
I quickly threw on leggings a black shirt and Shawn's hoodie he gave me. (A/n First page in the media.) Then I quickly did makeup but being careful to no put to much or too little on.
As I came downstairs my mother spoke up.
"Took you long enough."
"Sorry." I said.
"You have to pick up your grandmother and I also told the Mendes' that you would pick them up too."
"Great." I said making my way towards the door. "And Shawn's not even with the Mendes'" I made air quotes around Mendes'.
I took my moms car so I could call Chloe from the car itself so I wouldn't get pulled over for talking on an actual phone.
"Chlo I swear to god she's got me running all over friggin town." I said.
I made a U turn because of the blocked off road spinning the wheel ninety degrees.
She giggled.
"It's not funny." I said seriously.
"She woke me up at 4:30 this morning to pull guts out of a turkey's ass and now she's got me picking up my grandmother and the Mendes'!" I exclaimed.
"I'm sorry." Was all she said.
"Yeah me too. I've got to go." I said. "I'll  talk to you later."
"Bye love ya!"
"Yeah, yeah. Love ya too."
I pulled up in my grandmothers driveway and she immediately came out.
"Hello Sweetie." She said.
"Hi." I smiled.
She kissed my cheek as I began to pull out.
"Are you dropping me off and then getting the Mendes' or getting them now?" She asked.
"I don't know." I said. "Probably dropping you off first because it will be hard to fit all of you guys in here."
"Okay." She said. "Whatever's easier for you."
I dropped her off at my house and she said she would start a dish or two for Thanksgiving dinner tonight.
The Mendes' only lived 5 minutes away so I arrived there shortly.
As soon as I pulled up Aaliyah came running to the passenger side.
She quickly hopped in and giggled as she sat next to me.
"Hey." She smiled.
"Your parents gonna be alright with you in shotgun?" I asked.
She nodded as Mr. Mendes got in the back and Mrs. Mendes got in next to him.
They were each holding a dish.
"You guys didn't have to bring anything." I said.
"It's the least we could do." Mrs. Mendes replied.
-3 Hours Later-
It was ten now and I decided I was going to call Shawn. Hopefully he was awake. It was seven in Seattle but I just wanted to see him and hear his voice. It's been a few days since I've talked to him.
I dialed his number and out some headphones in. Let's not forge I still had to make thanksgiving dinner.
I put. My phone in my back pocket and listened as it ringed and ringed and ringed. Until finally he answered.
His voice was groggy and raspy like he has just woken up.
"Hello?" He asked.
"Did I wake you up?" I asked biting my lip.
"No." He coughed.
"It sounds like I did." I pouted.
"Sorry to annoy you." I said.
"I never said you were annoying me." He replied. "You're not." He said. "You're like a cute, little adorable alarm clock."
I giggled as I placed the stuffing In the oven.
"So what are you doing?" He asked.
"Making Thanksgiving dinner." I groaned.
"Oh my god! I totally forgot." He chuckled to himself.
"Yeah nice job." I said.
"I think I'm dying." I said. "Like there's so much to do."
"I'm sorry babe." He said.
I sighed.
"I gotta go." He said after a few moments of silence.
"Okay." I said. "Not to sound nosy but why?"
"I have to get ready we're going to Cali today."
"Okay." I pouted.
"I'll talk to you later." He said. "I promise."
"Okay." I said.
I cleaned up the mess I had made from the stuffing and began to make the next dish.
-2 Hours Later-
By now I had gotten sick of the noise everyone was making so I put headphones in.
They had all moved into my family room which was towards the back of the house and thankfully not right next to the kitchen like the living room was.
I lightly hummed to my playlist as I began making the mashed potatoes.
When the song ended I could hear murmurs and giggles and gasps but it was only for a second and the next song came on.
I turned it up to tune them out because I loved this song.
My phone dinged as I was cutting a potato so I set the knife down and pulled out my phone.
It was at 20% so I plugged it in and unfortunately had to give up my music. They had all gotten quiet now as I finished cutting the last potato and placing it in the boiling water.
I sighed as I was almost done but I still had to clean up.
I placed the potato skins in a paper towel and carried them to the garbage carefully throwing them away.
Then I wiped down the counter quickly.
"I need a break." I said to myself.
Too lazy to go upstairs and not wanting to go into the living room I stood up and leaned over, my head placed on the counter.
I closed my eyes and went into deep concentration.
I went through all the things in my head I still had to do.
I took a deep breath just as I heard a voice.
"Hey."
My breathing hitched as I heard the all to familiar voice.
I pulled my sleeves over my hands and turned around to face the tall figure looming over me.
He smiled at me and I just stared at him in disbelief.
"Shawn?" I asked.
"It's me baby." He said.
I giggled and wrapped my arms around his neck pulling my body closer to him.
"I missed you so much." He mumbled into my neck.
He took a deep breath and then stopped.
"Something wrong?" I asked.
"You smell like me." He said. "Or what I assume is me."
I giggled.
"I'm wearing your sweatshirt." I said.
He smiled.
"Nice to know it's being put to good use."
I smiled back at him.
"Now-" I said stroking the side of his face. "I was going to call you so you could make thanksgiving dinner with me but since you're here you can actually help me."
"Ya know usually I would not want to but if it means spending time with my beautiful girlfriend then I would be delighted to."
I walked over grabbing a wooden spoon and metal bowl.
I placed the bowl on his head. "Your
Crown." I said. "And your sword." I handed him the spoon.
He chuckled pulling me in for a kiss.
"God I can't even begin to explain how much I've missed kissing those lips."
