We all went out to a little pub down the street. It was really nice. I found out that Sara and I had a lot in common. Travis was really funny. He would make different voices for people around the restaurant and he was always taking pictures. He wouldn't stop taking pictures of us eating. He even made us wait to eat until he took a picture. Sara and I thought it was funny.
When we were done with dinner it was 7. I told Shawn 8.
"Brooke!" Travis said. "Come with us to the park. Were going to watch the sunset."
I agreed since I still had time.
We went to the park and grabbed our cameras. We sat on the swings and took pictures of the descending sun.
"It's really beautiful isn't it?" Sara said.
"Yeah."
We took some more pictures until it got too dark.
"Hey guys what time is it my phone died?" I asked.
"8:04." Travis said.
"What?!" I exclaimed. I started to run towards my car.
"Why what's the big deal?" Sara asked chasing after me.
"I told Shawn that I would meet him at 8 because he had plans for us earlier."
I said. "And it takes like 20 minutes to get to the hotel. And my phone is dead."
"I'm sorry." She said.
"It's fine. I just-" I got into the car. "I have to go."
I started to drive and when I got on the Thruway it was jam packed.
"Oh for the love of god!" I exclaimed.
I threw my hands up in aggravation.
By the time I got to the hotel it was 8:35. I sprinted upstairs. Not even bothering to check the elevator.
I sprinted up the stairs and to Shawn and I's room. I turned the knob and to my surprise it was open.
Shawn sat on the bed with his head in his hands.
I threw my purse and keys to the side and ran up to him.
"Oh my god babe, I'm so sorry!" I exclaimed. My knees skidded on the carpet as I slid towards him.
"How'd it go?" He asked. His head was still looking down. His voice was raspy.
"It was good." I responded.
I put my hand on the side of his face.
"You know what would have made it better though?" I whispered.
"What?" He said. His head was down but his eyes looked up.
"If you had been there." I whispered. I placed my other hand on the side of his face.
He slightly smirked but tried to hide it and coughed.
"Seriously." I continued. "It was horrible."
He smiled.
"There's the smile I wanted to see." I cooed.
He kept smiling.
"So are we good?" I whispered.
"Oh we're good." He said. He flipped me around so I was on the bottom and started to kiss me. He began to kiss my neck and he made his way down. I bit my lip. He laughed and rolled over next to me.
"So," I whispered. "What did you have planned for tonight?"
"Well me, the guys and you were going to watch the Magcon tape. We um bought a bunch of snacks and stuff."
I sat up and looked down at him.
"Well we can still do that!" I said. I grabbed his hand.
"Come on let's go." I said.
I walked over to the boys room Shawn trailing behind me while I held his hand.
He laughed as I stomped my feet on the ground.
I opened the door.
I saw the snacks strewn about the room. Candy wrappers and potato chip bags were everywhere. I smiled.
"Hey!" Nash exclaimed.
"Can we please watch your Magcon?" I asked. Shawn's hand was still in mine.
"Sure." Gilinsky said. He pulled out his phone and handed it to me. Everyone decided they were going to go to bed since they had lived it. I thought it was kind of weird but pushed it aside.
Then Gilinsky said to take his phone into our room and just bring it over later or he would come get it.
We did but I thought that was weird.
As we sat in the bed in our hotel room Shawn wrapped his arm around me.
The video started. I watched as they all went out there and Gilinsky used a selfie stick.
When he turned the camera towards the audience they went crazy.
"Alright, alright." He said.
"Were going to do a Q&A today."
"Yeah." Nash said. "We'll pick people from the audience and they can ask us a question."
"Let's kept it clean people." Taylor added.
I laughed.
A bunch of girls came up and asked questions like What's there favorite ....
One girl came up and stood at the microphone.
"Where's sweatshirt girl?" She asked.
I looked at Shawn.
"She-" Shawn spoke in the microphone. "She uh couldn't be here today."
The girl stepped down. And another one came up.
"Who's sweatshirt girl?" She asked.
I looked at Shawn again.
"It's a secret." Shawn winked at the audience.
They went crazy.
I smirked.
Then a chant started in the audience.
"Sweat-shirt-girl-sweat-shirt-girl-sweat-shirt-girl-"
I looked at Shawn and his eyes looked worried.
I paused the video. When I paused it security guards were taking the boys backstage.
I turned to Shawn.
"Hey." I turned his chin towards me.
"What's wrong?"
He was silent.
"Please tell me." I said.
"After the show our manager talked to me." He said.
"And?" I asked. I slightly smiled out of excitement. "Is it good?"
He kept looking down.
"Of course it's not good if it was good you would be smiling-" I rambled on.
"Brooke-" he cut me off. He smiled weakly. "He said this whole sweatshirt girl thing is getting out of hand." I frowned.
"Bu-I-We-" I stumbled for words.
I just closed my mouth and looked at him for help.
He looked just as clueless as me.
He just pecked me on the lips mumbled something and walked out. I let him because I knew he wasn't mad.
-Shawn-
I walked next door to the boys room.
"Do you guys agree with this?" I asked walking in.
"With what man?" Nash said.
"Brooke and her leaving." I paced around the room.
"No." Taylor said.
"But what can we do?" Aaron added.
"I don't know." I groaned.
"Maybe she can just go back home." Johnson said.
"What?!" Cam screamed. "No!"
Everyone looked at him. He blushed.
"Listen man," Matt said. "Maybe we can just bring her out on stage. I know you don't want to but none of us want her to leave and it seems to be the only solution."
"We can talk to our manager." Carter added.
"Okay." I said. "Just don't tell Brooke."
They mumbled stuff and I walked back to our room.
She was packing her bags.
"Baby what are you doing?" I asked.
"Packing." She sniffled.
"Why?" I followed her as she walked around the room throwing things in a bag.
"I'm leaving." She said.
"What?" I asked. "No you're not."
"Yes I am." She said.
"I'm causing problems and I don't want to get in the way of anything."
"You're not!" I yelled.
She continued packing.
I grabbed her hands.
"Stop." She looked up at me, tears brimming her eyes.
I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her in bed.
She groaned and squirmed but wrapped my arms and legs around her holding her still and she relaxed.
She sighed.
"I love you." I whispered, kissing her neck.
"I love you too." She said.
