Above is what she wears to dinner.
-Brooklyn-
After Shawn kissed me he pulled away and looked down at me.
"I-I'm sorry." He stuttered.
I looked up at him.
"I-it's fine." I stumbled over my words. The rain had slowed down now.
"No it's not." He said. "I shouldn't have done that."
I looked down. I didn't know what to say.
"I-I just need to think some things over." I said.
"I understand." He whispered. His eyes wandered away.
"Shawn?" I whispered. He looked at me.
"I'm sorry."
"Me too." He said.
"Good." I smiled, trying to change the subject, "You should be."
He looked kind of hurt but asked: "Why?"
"Because thanks to you I'm drenched."
"Come on." He said. "Tell me that wasn't fun."
"It wasn't fun." I said smiling.
"Oh yeah right."
"Well either way I don't have any clothes."
-Shawn-
After I kissed Brooke I tried to make it not awkward. I took her back into my house and grabbed us each a towel.
"Yeah because this is gonna help my soaking wet shirt and shorts."
"Just shut up and dry your arms and legs." I said.
She pouted but did it anyways.
"I'm done." She said throwing the towel to the ground.
"Good." I smiled, "now come here." I brought her to a bathroom.
"Now stand right there." She did as I said and I ran upstairs and grabbed a pair of my sweatpants and a sweatshirt.
I gave them to her.
"Put those on." I said.
I shut the door and she came out a few minutes later. They were way to big on her. When she came out she kicked her leg up in the air so the pants didn't come down.
"Um, Shawn." She said.
"Yeah?" I tried not to laugh.
"I think these are too big."
I kneeled down in front of her.
"May I?" I asked.
"Yeah." She smiled.
I pulled the strings and tied them tight around her waist.
"Better?" I asked.
"Better." She said. "Are you gonna change?" She asked.
"Um, yeah." I said. "I'll be right back."
-Brooklyn-
Shawn went to go get dressed and when he came back he was wearing sweatpants and a t shirt.
"Do you want to watch a movie?" He asked.
"Yeah, sure." I said. "You pick."
He picked Harry Potter obviously.
"Which one?" I asked.
"Guess you'll have to wait and see." He said.
I laughed.
He picked the Goblet of Fire.
When the movie was over It was like 8.
"As much as I like hanging out here, I kind of have to go home." I said.
"Fine." He pouted.
"Don't worry." I smiled. "I'll be back."
-Thursday-
-Brooklyn-
After I got out of work I got a text message from Cameron.
Cam: Wear something fancy. I'll pick you up at 7. 😉
Me: Okay!
After I was dressed I curled my hair and did my makeup.
At 7 o'clock exactly my doorbell rang.
"Mom Cam is here!" I yelled.
"Okay dear have fun!" She yelled back. I grabbed my phone and wallet.
I opened the door.
Cameron stood there in a suit and tie.
"Damn." I whispered.
"I'll take that as a compliment." He said.
He held out his hand. I grabbed it.
He walked me to the car.
The whole night he was a complete gentleman. I really appreciated it. At the end he walked me to my door and said goodnight. No kiss. Nothing.
When I got in I went upstairs and took off my makeup and hopped in the shower. After I was done I put on shorts and a sweatshirt and got in bed. I checked my phone. I had A few text messages from Shawn.
Shawn: Hey.
Shawn: Where are you?
Shawn: I'm sickk. 😷
Me: Aww. Poor Shawn. Can I do anything?
Shawn: Where have you been?
Me: I went out to dinner.
Shawn: With who?
Me: No one. It doesn't matter. How are you sick? Are you okay?
Shawn: I'm fine. I have like the flu.
Me: Like the flu? Can I do anything?
Shawn: No. Just don't come over I don't want you getting sick.
Me: Fine. Feel Better!
Shawn: Thanks.
Then I went to bed with a smile on my face.
-The Next Morning-
-Brooklyn-
I woke up at 7 and got an early start I had today, Saturday, and Sunday off. I got dressed first. I put on a pair of jean shorts and a black fitted t shirt.
I let my natural waves fall. I went downstairs.
"Good morning." I greeted my mom.
"Good morning sweetheart what are you going to do today?"
"Um- Shawn's sick I was gonna make some soup and bring it to him."
"Okay, don't bring your germs here." She said.
By the time I made the soup and was all ready it was 9:30.
I grabbed my phone and threw it in my purse. I grabbed the container of soup and was at Shawn's in like 5 minutes.
I put my purse on my shoulder and carried the soup in my hand. I went and rang the doorbell.
Aaliyah, Shawn's little sister, opened the door.
"Hi Brooke." She smiled.
"Hi Aaliyah." I said. "Is Shawn upstairs?"
"Yeah," she said, "but he's sick."
"I know." I said. "You don't mind do you?"
"No of course not." She smiled. "Just don't do anything I wouldn't do!" She yelled as I went upstairs.
I laughed.
I opened Shawn's bedroom door. There's was tissues on the floor and a congested Shawn lay under the blankets on his bed. His phone was on his chest and he had headphones in.
His eyes were closed. I set the soup on his end table and picked up the tissues and threw them away. Then I used hand sanitizer.
"Gross." I whispered.
I went over and set my hand on his forehead he was really warm.
"Your hand is cold." He mumbled as he opened his eyes.
"I told you not to come." He said really congested.
"When do I ever listen?" I said kneeling next to his bed.
"Never." He said. "But I'm going to get you sick."
"Then we'll be sick together." I said getting in bed next to him.
"You could not take up more room." I said.
"It's my bed!" He complained.
"Come on you know you want me here." I said.
"Fine." He said.
He covered me up with the blankets and put one of his earbuds in my ear.
"Join the party." He said.
