-Brooklyn-
I woke up to the sound of humming I slowly opened my eyes. As I listened more I realized it was Sweater Weather.
But it stopped as soon as I opened my eyes.
I looked over at Shawn.
"No, no." I whispered. I snuggled closer to him. "Keep singing."
"Technically I was humming." He said.
"Shut up." I whispered.
"What are we doing today?" I asked.
"I have Magcon at 4." He said.
I groaned.
"You do realize that's what this whole tour is right?" He said.
"Yeah, yeah." I smiled.
-Later-
-Magcon-
-Shawn-
"Hey do you think I could go in the audience?" Brooke asked.
"Yeah but why would you want to?" Nash asked.
"I don't know." She sighed.
She was wearing my sweatshirt again.
I wrapped my arm around her.
"Do you want to go in the audience?" I asked.
"Nah."
"Then come here."
I walked her across the stage and the crowd screamed.
I sat on the edge of the stage with her.
We watched as Jack and Jack performed and as everybody else went out and did some weird challenge.
Then it was my turn.
She pecked me on the lips.
"You'll do great." She whispered.
I smirked and grabbed my guitar walking on to the stage. As I was setting up and getting ready I could hear murmurs throughout the crowd that eventually turned into a chant.
"Sweatshirt girl, sweatshirt girl, sweatshirt girl,...."
Brooke looked up at me, worry was all over her face but she turned into a smile and her face turned pink.
I smirked, Taylor came and brought her backstage.
The crowd booed. Some clapped.
"Alright, alright." I said slightly laughing. "I'll be singing Sweater Weather."
'Cuz it's to cold for you here.'
I sang and when I was done the crowd clapped.
I went backstage and set my guitar down.
"Is that the guitar I got you?" Brooke asked walking up to me.
"Of course." I smiled. I kissed her on the lips. "What else would it be?"
She laughed.
"How did you pay for that anyways?" I asked.
"Let's just say that apparently that stupid diner job isn't so bad."
I laughed.
"God you're great." I said.
"Thanks." She smiled. "You're pretty great yourself." She whispered, coming closer.
She lightly kissed my lips and she placed her hand on the side of my face. I pulled her waist closer to me, so she was right up against me.
She smirked against my lips.
"Hey lovebirds!" Johnson screamed.
We laughed.
"Time for meet and greet!"
She smiled and kissed me one more time.
I fixed her hood. I wrapped my arm around her as we walked to where the meet and greet was.
The crowd screamed as we walked out.
"Cover your face baby." I whispered.
She put her hands on the side of her face. Some girls screamed out 'Sweatshirt girl!' as she ran by. I signed some autographs and took some pictures and when we were all done we met Brooke in the car.
-1 Month Later-
-Brooklyn-
"Did you get any of that?" Shawn whispered in my ear.
We were doing school in our hotel room before Magcon.
"Um yeah actually." I slightly laughed. I explained to him on what the teacher just said.
"Thanks." He smirked.
"You know?" I said, now we were done with school. "We've been gone for a little more than a month and we haven't looked at any colleges, well for me." I finished.
"Hey!" He said.
"What?" I was laying in his arms on the hotel bed.
"I want to go to college too." He said.
"Shawn I told you a recording company is going to sign you."
"Yeah, yeah." He blushed.
I kissed him.
"Let's go see the boys."
We went next door to see the boys. When we walked in there was oatmeal all over the floor by the bed.
"What the-"
We walked towards the bathrooms in the back.
It was trashed eggs, everywhere, oh and don't forget the boys standing in there underwear covered in egg yolk.
All the other guys walked out of the back room.
"What the-"
They looked around in bewilderment.
"Yeah this cleaning lady is going to be pi$$ed."
I laughed.
"What did you guys do?"
"The Oatmeal Challenge." Cam said.
"That's a thing?"
"No we made it up." Nash said.
"And how'd that work for ya?" I asked.
"Not so well." Matt coughed.
I laughed.
"Well as fun as this all looks." I said motioning to the mess around us, "I think I'm going to spend the rest of the day looking for colleges."
"Why?" Aaron asked sitting on the bed.
"The only reason my mom let me come is so that I could look at career options and stuff like that."
"Oh." He said. "Well have fun with that."
"I will thank you very much." I said.
I walked out and Shawn laughing and followed.
"So where are we going?" He asked.
"I have no idea." I replied.
We went to this really beautiful lake. We brought a blanket and laid it out on the sand.
He laid down and I sat next to him.
"Lay down." He whispered.
"Isn't this beautiful?" I still sat up and looked over the scenery.
"Gorgeous." He mocked me.
"I'm being serious."
"Maybe I should look into photography." I said standing up and walking towards the shore.
He groaned and got up.
"You're interested in that?" He asked.
"Yeah. I mean pictures can show so many things. They can show love, happiness, despair, and all in this one little photo. I mean nothing else in the world can do that. And you can express yourself in them too."
"We have Magcon tomorrow at 4." He said. "You can look into it then."
"And miss your performance?"
"I'll have Gilinsky record it."
"Okay." I smiled.
"Now can we please go lay on the blanket and cuddle." He whined.
"Okay." I smirked.
-The Next Day-
-Shawn-
Shawn was rushing around the room getting ready for Magcon. He went in the bathroom and came back out in the his underwear and his hair was a mess.
"You know," I said. "You were in there for like five minutes and I see no change except that your clothes are now off and your hair somehow messier than before."
He smirked.
"Ha ha." He said sarcastically.
"Well I wasn't trying to be funny." I sighed laying back on the bed. "But okay if you think it's funny."
I grabbed my phone and looked up the photography place I was going to for like the 100th time.
When I had looked over all the information I turned to Shawn.
"Are you ready now?"
"Almost."
He sprayed some cologne on himself. Then he put a sweatshirt on over his shirt, but left the zipper open.
"Well don't you look cute." I said standing up.
He just smirked and came over and kissed me.
"Damn." I whispered.
"What?" He said.
"You smell good too."
He laughed.
In return I kissed him again, only to be interrupted by a cough.
I abruptly pulled away, blushing before I even knew who it was. I looked over and it was Mahogany.
Ever since Magcon we had become really close. She was really sweet, energetic, and funny.
Shawn slid his arm around my waist.
"Sorry to interrupt." She blushed. "But we have to go."
"Okay." We said.
I kissed him one last time before leading the way out the door.
As we walked out we ran into everyone else on their way downstairs. I split from Shawn and ran over to Gilinsky.
"Hey." I said.
"Hey Brooke!" He exclaimed. He threw his arm around my shoulders as we walked.
"You're gonna record it for me right?"
"The whole thing or just Shawn?" He asked, his arm still around my shoulders.
"The whole thing would be nice." I said. "Then I could watch you and everyone else."
"Well I can't record myself." He said.
"It's called holding it like your gonna take a selfie."
He looked like he was trying not to laugh.
"Get some back stage stuff for me too." I said.
"Okay, okay." He said. "I got it."
I laughed and gave him a quick hug.
"Thank you!" I exclaimed.
He laughed. "Anytime, kiddo."
"Kiddo?" I asked. "We will talk about that later." And then I looked to go find Shawn.
At this point we were all standing at the elevator waiting for them.
When I found Shawn he was over in the corner and he seemed really tense.
I entwined his hand in mine.
"Are you okay baby?" I asked. His face was a light shade of pink and his fist was clenched. He seemed to be in deep thought. I followed his eyes to where they were. Jack.
"Ooh." I said. "I see."
I let go of his hand and wrapped my arms around his neck causing him to look down at me.
I pushed my waist up against his.
"Shawn," I whispered.
"Yeah?" He looked down.
"Kiss me."
He bent down and pressed his lips to mine. Our lips moving in perfect sink and our waists still pushed up against each other.
I heard whistles in the background. But I didn't care. I pulled away and he groaned.
"Later." I whispered and then walked towards the stairs.
When I reached the lobby I walked outside to my rental car and started it.
I drove to the studio which I had actually seen before.
As I walked in I noticed the intricately placed flowers on the front steps, and the big wooden door.
I opened it to reveal what seemed like a gallery.
Pictures upon pictures were placed on the walls. It looked like a gallery. As I neared the back I could see places where family portraits were taken. A woman was bent over a box of props. She was sorting through them. I didn't want to interrupt. As she stood up and turned around I could see she was a middle aged woman. She had brown curly hair pinned back with a few strands that were loose.
She gasped. "You must be Brooklyn." She smacked her gum and held out her arms. I hugged her.
"Here me take you out back." She took me back to what looked like a dump.
She pulled out a stack of photos and set them on the table. I went over to them.
"These are great."
"Well thank you." She said.
After she finished showing me how to take pictures and develop them she brought me outside. There were flowers everywhere.
"Wow this is gorgeous."
"Thanks." She replied. "We take a lot of wedding shots here."
"I can see why." I said.
She laughed.
She told me to make myself at home and take pictures. Two other interns came later.
One was a girl named Sara and another was a guy named Travis.
"Hey do you guys all want to go get something to eat?" Travis asked.
"Uh,...."
"Yeah!" Sara exclaimed.
"Come on Brooke!" She persuaded. "It'll be fun!"
"Okay." I said. "I just need to make a call."
"Okay great!" Sara and Travis got to talking while I went to go call Shawn.
I dialed his number and held it up to my ear.
"Hey babe." I said.
"Hey what's up?"
"Um some of the interns invited me out to dinner."
"That's great!" He exclaimed. "I um kinda had something planned for us."
"Well I'll be home by 8." I said.
"Okay." He said.
"I love you!" I added.
"I love you too." By the sound of his voice I could tell he was smirking.
