2 YEARS (and a half) LATER...

I glanced at the faces of the people who still turn to look at me twice whenever I pass the campus cafeteria. I shouldn't be bothered by their stares, but well, who could blame them?

I'm always near Kyle and it attracts a freaking lot of attention.

It's been the same scenario ever since high school, so why would I be bothered if the sight of me and Kyle are still interesting in front of everybody's eyes?

"Pasta or rice?" My dashing boyfriend of two years asked me. "Anong gusto mong kainin?"

I shrugged then smiled. "Kahit ano, 'yung masarap." Napakamot naman siya ng ulo at lalo akong ngumisi. I really love teasing him, look at that annoyed look!

"You always say that." He was a little pissed but then he turned to leave and buy us food.

Pinapanood ko siyang maglakad papalayo. Damn, the college 'Kyle' look is so freaking nice. I hurried to open my book in Statistics, and decided to read a little for later.

College life just hits me so hard. Sobrang hirap! If I had known it's going to be hell for me, I should've convinced Samuel and Sara to enroll here instead! They could be of good use for their big brains.

I was already digging well into my book when my phone rang. Merielle's name flashed through the screen and I answered right away. Tinignan ko si Kyle habang nakapila.

"Merielle, how are you?"

"Uhm, not good." Sa boses pa lang niya, parang kagagaling lang niya sa iyak. "Phoebe, busy ka ba?"

"No, no, what is it? Do you want to meet up?" After two years na nasa probinsya si Merielle, at nang makabalik siya sa Maynila for college, hindi pa kami nagkikita. Freshmen college is really so hard it can take half of your life adjusting. "Free ako after 4:00 o'clock."

"Hindi. Ano kasi..." May narinig akong pag-iyak.

"What's wrong? Where are you?"

"Wala na kami ni Damian..." Nawala ang tingin ko kay Kyle at napamura ako ng mahina.

"What? Why?"
