Some fisherfolk were travelling through the forest to sell the fishes in the urban cities. But once again they were terrorized by Mumbaarak. A few lost their lives to satisfy his hunger while the rest escaped back to their village.
"SUKARMA ! SUKARMA !" The fisher folks came running in.
"Kya huya ?" Sukarma came out of his home with Medhavati and Matsyaa. From the other house, Ashutosh also came out where he was offered homage.
"Uss Mumbaarak daitya ne humare 3 saathiyo ka annt kar diya...." A fisherman said.
"Kya !?" Sukarma exclaimed as Medhavati's and Matsyaa's eyes widened.
"Woh maarg surakshit nahi hai. Hum waha se nahi jaa sakte." Another fisherman said.
"Kintu yadi hum shahar mei nahi jayenge toh macchli nahi bechpayenge.... Anya koi maarg bhi nahi hai shahar tak ka.... Hey Mahadev yeh kaisi vidambana hai..." Sukarma muttered.
"Pratyek Vidambana ka hal hota hai, swayam ke paas." Ashutosh said coming forward.
"Kintu hum kya kar sakte hai ? Woh Daitya ati bhayavaye hai." Medhavati said.
"Woh bhayavaye issi liye hai kyuki aap sab bhayebhit hai." A male voice said.
They all turned their heads and saw two unfamiliar beings. Ashutosh smiled seeing them.

"Yadi bhayebhit nahi hoge toh woh Daitya tumhe bhayavaye nahi lagega." The man said.
"Kaun hai aap dono ?" Medhavati asked.
"Hari Om ! Mai hu Nayika, aur yeh mere swami Nayak. Hum dono kathak hai, kathayen sunate hai. Jab pata chala ki iss Gao mei vivah ho raha hai, toh aagaye." Nayika said.
"Kintu yaha aake pata chalta hai ki aap log toh kisi daitya se atyant bhayebhit hai. Yadi woh itna hi atanki hai toh uska saamna kare." Nayak said.
"Hum kaise saamna kar sakte hai ek daitya ka ?" Matsyaa asked. Both the storytellers looked at her and then at each other with a smile.
"Hari Om ! Hari Om ! Sahas se ! Dridhta se ! Bhayemukt hoke ! Kya pata aap hi uska annt karde ?" Nayika said.
"Manushya toh sadev bhaye se ghrasit rehta hai, hum bhayemukt kaise ho ?" Sukarma asked.
"Humare paas ek aisi katha hai, jisse aap bhayemukt ho jayenge !" Nayak said.
"Kaunsi katha ?" Medhavati asked.
"Nav-durga ka kavach." Nayak said.
"Nav-durga ?" Matsyaa muttered curiously.
"Hari Om ! Hari Om ! Nav-durga ki kavach bhaye ka naash kar deti hai. Yeh katha suna kar hume toh punya milega hi, saathi jo sunega usse bhi punya milega ! Chaliye !" Nayika said.
She and her husband went and sat on the seat around the banyan tree, as the rest of fisher folks also gathered and sat in front of them, ready to listen to the tale of Navdurga.
"Batayiye, kya hai yeh Navdurga ka kavach ?" Matsyaa asked.
"Rishi Markandeya ne pucha jabhi, Daya karke Brahmadev ne bola tabhi - Jo gupt mantra hai iss sansaar mei, hai sab shaktiya jiske adhikaar mei, har ek ka jo kar sakta upkaar hai, jise japne se beda paar hai ! Pavitra kavach Durga Balshali ka ! Jo har kaam pura kare sawali ka ! Suno Markandeya mai samjhata hu ! Nav-durga ke naam batata hu ! Kavach ki Mai sundar chaupai bana, jo atyant hai gupt deyu bata ! " Nayak started narrating.
"Nav-durga ka kavach yeh padhe jo man chit laye, uss par kisi prakar ka koi kasht na aaye ! Kaho Jai Jai Maharani ki ! Jai Durga Asht bhavani ki !" Nayika said.

Why the name Nayak and Nayika ? Because it means hero and heroine, and SriSri are leads of this series 😂
