A/N- I have 2 versions of this story (based on 2 totally different headcannons)

So this first one is where Nico absolutely HATES video games because it reminded him of the Lotus Casino too much.

-Third Person's POV-

It was the typical days where your boyfriend, Nico di Angelo, was bored in his cabin.

It was also those times where he was exceptionally grumpy.

"Hey Y/N," Nico grumbled, "I'm bored."

"Hi Bored. I'm Hungry, nice to meet you," you said.

Nico frowned up at you, "Not funny."

You laughed, "Someone needs a Happy Meal."

Although, you were actually hungry for a Happy Meal.

"Yeah!" Nico said, his eyes immediately lighting up, "Why didn't I think of that- I'll go get us some right now."

He pecked your cheek before rushing excitedly out of the Hades cabin.

You raised your eyebrows, "Epic mood swings, Neeks."

You eventually got bored so you walked outside to find something to entertain yourself.

"Yo Y/N!" Leo called, "Wanna play some rounds?"

He waved a remote controller in front of your face.

"I bet you'll lose~" he sang.

You grabbed the remote, "Game on, Elfie."

-Nico's POV-

I arrived back at Camp about an hour later.

Why did it took so long if I could shadow-travel?

You see, I sort of got into a heated argument about how McDonalds changed the Happy Meal boxes into weird-looking Lightning McQueen wannabes.

Anyway, arriving at the Hades cabin, I didn't find Y/N there.

She probably got bored and wanted to do something else while waiting, I thought.

I asked Jason where she was, and he told me that Y/N was with Leo, playing video games.

Oh.

Do I really need to explain this? No. I do not.

But I have never, EVER touched a video game again since Bianca's death.

And I never really explained to Y/N the reason behind it.

Alhough, I probably didn't even tell her I hated video games.

I walked over to Bunker Nine and knocked on the door.

"Hey Y/N? Leo? You guys there?"

"NICO!!" I heard Y/N screech excitedly.

She opened the door and fixed her facial expression, "I mean, hey Neeks."

I held my desire to smile, Y/N always tried to act chill and strong. But she could go to cuddly mode in no time.

"You still playing?" I asked, looking over her shoulder.

"Of course not, now that you're here," she hugged me.

"Ay Leo!" Y/N called over her shoulder, "Nico's back! I'll beat your butt next time!"

"Alrighty then!" he called back, "Save me a chicken wing!"

We walked back to my Hades cabin.

I sat Y/N on my bed and pulled her close to me.

"Y/N.... I need to tell you something."

Long story short, I told Y/N how I felt. You don't need to know the details.

Because crying about video games is a very, very weird thing to do.

Which- I didn't. Please, get your facts right.

"Oh my gods, Nico-" Y/N wrapped her arms around me and kissed my hair, "I'm so sorry. I promise, I won't do it again."

"You sound like you just killed someone," I chuckled, "Don't worry, don't let me stop you from playing video games. I'll just... tell you when I already learn to be okay with it."

"Fine," she grinned, "Then I'll just wait with you."

Oh Y/N, I thought, You and your beautiful stubborn soul.
