I dropped my last perfume beside my foot. I coughed and moved away from it in response.
"Missed," Jace teased, pulling out a small ball and chain. She had more than just a syringe with her tonight.
"Jace, you don't have to do this," I started.
"Yes, I do!"
The ball went towards my head, but I ducked under it.
"You do realize that you're the villain, right?" I shouted.
"I don't care," Jace yelled, spinning the chain in mid-air, ready to strike at any moment.
"Why would he ask you to off the good guys?" I quoted.
Jace lifted up the chain one more time, and in weakness, she dropped it.
