We couldn't just ask for another immediate trip to Sam Francisco, so we waited until another opportune time. The next month was full of training. Aaron and I hid in the basement using all of our nerf guns, butterfly knives, foam bricks, yoga mats, targets, and perfume containers to prepare for Jace. No matter how much Aaron wanted to suit up, I prevented him from doing so for the chance that Mom, Jack, or anyone else would find out that we were the heroes from the comic books. My break times consisted of researching the enhanced fluid, but so far, I found absolutely nothing related to it. And as much as we wanted to go for a run outside, we couldn't for safety reasons.
We didn't step foot outside until Mom decided to run some errands in San Fran.
