Aaron bent his knees and rested both of his feet against two metal triangles on the ground, each joined together by a skinny metal bar. His back was arched, and only the tips of his fingers met the smooth red track below him. His blue eyes, partly covered by his brown bangs, were only focused on the remaining red track ahead of him, as if the panel of judges behind him weren't there.

A gun fired, and that was his signal to go. All he needed was a slight push of the heel off of the metal triangles to take off. After that, I couldn't identify a single body part. Aaron became a distorted blue blur speeding across the track.
