It was getting dark, but we still chased after Jace. I turned on my lights, and they shined way in front of Jace.
"Thanks for the extra eyes!" She hollered sarcastically, reaching for a fallen branch and throwing it at my face.
The branch traveled from my face to the ground, and I trampled on the trail, breaking my only light.
Jace traveled faster and farther. Aaron stayed behind with me as I got up from the floor.
"You alright?" Aaron asked.
I nodded, pushing my body off of the ground with a grunt.
Aaron made angry eyes at a faraway Jace.
"I can't see in the dark," I huffed. "but your Google Glass can. Give me a lift."
