"Aaron!"
"What?"
"Run me back to the homeroom lines," I said. "As fast as you can."
Aaron picked me up. We approached the big crowd of teenagers in less than ten seconds.
"Impressive," I smiled.
As soon as Aaron put me down, I immediately spotted my homeroom teacher.
She thought we were dead.
"You're not dead," she said when she turned around to look at the both of us.
"N-No," I shook my head.
She faced Aaron.
"You're the fast one," she said.
"Aaron," he corrected immediately.
He doesn't like being called the Fast One.
"He carried me away from the building before it fell," I explained. "We were at the back of the campus this whole time."
The teacher gave us a strange look.
"At least you're safe now," she said, writing on her clipboard. "That was a very brave thing to do, Aaron."
Aaron smiled and nodded. We joined in one of the lines.
"I'm glad we're not dead," I said, looking at him.
"Yeah," he agreed, looking at me.
