[THIRD PERSON]
Charlie tapped the wooden pencil against his cheek. He was busy writing a letter to some of his friends, and he had not much ideas on what to write in them.
He thought of writing about hobbies that they shared, but he didn't know how to show those feelings. What kind of writing shows emotions or feelings to the person who receives it?
He searched online, and found many types of exquisite types of writing formats, but what caught his eye was the haikus. They didn't seem too hard to do! Just five syllables, then seven syllables, then another five!
He started searching up haikus as examples, and made this after a while of thought:
you are perfection.
you keep the sun shining high.
I hope you the best. ♥
Not too bad for a starter!, Charlie thought to himself. He was a bit unsure whether this would be sufficient enough to emphasize his feelings for his friends, and to actually send this.
But what if they laugh at me? What if they don't accept me for acting like this?
He was worried, worried whether somebody would accept him for acting like this, whether his friends would still like him, either like him back as a friend, or actually likes him.
Life is hard that way. He hoped they would still accept him, even though he might be showing a few feelings for the certainties.
Charlie put on his hat and scarf, put the two copies of his poem into two small envelopes, and walked out into the cool, fresh air. The wind shook the trees nearby, letting the leaves fall to the ground, making a carpet of red and orange, a crunch with every step.
It was a beautiful day, with fall around the corner. Charlie was awed by the surroundings, peeking into window shops along the way. It smelled of the fresh cinnamon that sprinkled the muffins baked daily in the bakery, which he went to first. It was always a pleasure to look around at the sights and smells of the neighborhood.
"What would it be today?" Jean-Claude greeted him with a smile. Charlie asked to buy the muffins that were being baked, they smelled delightfully good.
Jean carefully packed them into a small decorated paper bag, and exchanged it with Charlie for payment.
"Enjoy!" he called as Charlie waved, leaving the small shop.
Charlie then checked his pockets, relieved to see that the two envelopes were still there. His phone rung with a few small buzzes.

Charlie smiled as he put his phone back in his pocket, then walked the way to Mateo's. He was used to doing this, they always hung out on days like this.
He stepped up the porch steps, then pressed the doorbell. He could hear the chimes coming from inside the house, and footsteps rushing to the door. The door swung open, and Mateo and Austin greeted the freckled boy with a smile.
Charlie smiled back, his freckles tinged with a slight pink blush forming on his cheeks. He hoped that the two didn't notice, as he was basically lovestruck with both of them.
[MATEO]
"C'mon! Let's go to my room!" I shout excitedly, rushing up the stairs. Austin followed close behind, with Charlie struggling to catch up. I noticed that his face was a bit red, most likely from us running up the stairs. Strangely enough, he (Charlie) also held a small bag which he didn't let out of his sight.
I plopped down on the bed, Austin sat near the wall, and Charlie fell back onto the bed next to me, carefully placing the bag on the side table. I smile at the two after we got comfortable.
This was going to be a fun hangout.

After playing some fun games and talking about stuff, time flew by. It was soon dark, and it was time for the two to leave. But before they finished saying their goodbyes, Charlie quickly pulled out two envelopes from his pocket and thrusted them at the two other boys. He also gave them a small, cute looking muffin with the envelopes, then ran for home.
Austin and Mateo looked curiously at the envelopes. Shrugging, they carefully unwrap the letter, and scan it over. Inside both was a handwritten poem, specifically addressed to the two, and the muffins were decorated specifically for them.
The poem went like this:
To my two best friends:
Three friends together;
sharing one heart to another,
loving and caring~
I love you guys so much, and you two mean the world to me. I'm sorry if you don't love me back...
- Charlie ♥
(oh my god, I'm horrible at writing haikus ._.)
Mateo and Austin stared at the letter for a moment, trying to process what they had just read. Charlie likes them?
He had never revealed his feelings like this before, so they were shocked, but happy. They, in secret, had confessed to each other that they like him too, along with each other. Not just as friends, but in love.
- timeskip to next day -
Charlie was miserable. Not because he had a lousy breakfast, but because he was worried that he wouldn't belong with his friends anymore.
He stayed at home, thinking about yesterday and tried to make himself seem busy, changing his settings to "do not disturb" or "busy." But in reality, he waited for a response from the two, hoping that he could apologize for love.
He did, in fact, get some messages from his two friends. He dejectedly starting reading them.

Charlie, like yesterday, got up and dressed, then walked out to Austin's, but unlike yesterday, he wasn't feeling it. They probably were calling him over to laugh at him together, and call him an idiot, maybe calling him a sappy comedian for coming up with the poems.
Sighing, he knocked on the door.
[AUSTIN]
We could hear the loud knocking coming from outside.
"He's here!" Mateo said excitedly after looking through one of the windows.
"Let him in then!" I said, pulling open the wooden door. Charlie stood there, looking sad and pitiful, and stood nervously in front of us. We pulled him into the house, despite his yelps of "let me go" and such.
Leaving him on the couch, we excused ourselves to go upstairs for a slight moment, which was to grab a small box that we packed earlier for Charlie, and bring it back downstairs. Charlie still looked dejected, but had a curious shine in his eyes when we handed him the box.
"What's inside?" he asked, slowly turning it. We smiled.
"Open it," Mateo said, and Charlie did so, lightly tearing some of the paper surrounding the box. Pulling off the lid, he gasped.
Inside was two handmade poems that me and Mateo both addressed to Charlie, and a small heart plush with all three of our names. He took a few moments to read the poems, then smiled.

Charlie teared up after reading them both, and the two other boys hugged him, wiping his tears, and whispering that he was going to be okay, that they loved him from the very beginning.
That they were going to be friends forever, no matter what.
[CHARLIE]
"And that's basically how we got together!" I finished, smiling, and looking over at my two boyfriends. They smiled, nodding at every word that I said. I smile back, cause I know that I have to most loving people in my life, and that we'll always stick together.
