||CHAPTER 15: It's raining, It's Pouring||

Tia

It's the 24th of April, 2014.

The sky was grey and large clouds covered the once beautiful blue sky. I could hear the pitter-patter of the rain through the window. I lean my head against it, silently watching people run for shelter from the rain, and the few people who their umbrella had opened walked quickly.

It was perfect for a Thursday morning

"Let me get this straight, you're living at Logan's house, for a month?"

I nodded my head, "Yeah and I hate it. I mean, I love his family but I hate him. Seriously, it could have been someone else from WAC, but no, it had to be Logan." I complained, frustration lacing my tone.

Matt chuckled, "Can I be honest with you?" He asked. I turn to glance at him, giving him a nod, I urged him to go on. "I don't think you hate Logan."

"Of course I do!" I said, at the top of my voice.

When we approached a stoplight, Matt stopped the car, the traffic light turned into red. He then turned to face me, looking directly into my eyes. "I'm serious Tia. At first when you met him, you did seem to hate Logan. However now, it's been what...about two months. I'm starting to feel like you don't. Be honest, do you hate Logan?"

I turned my head to avoid Matt's intense stare. "Yes." I said.

'Don't lie Tia', the little voice inside my head, said.

Matt sighed. "You're hopeless." He started to drive when the light turned green. "Just remember, in the future, do not let your pride blind your growing affection. Trust me, it is not worth it."

I bit my lip, and turned to look at the road ahead, remembering last night, it's like it happened an hour ago. I can still feel him place light kisses on my body. Him whispering sweet words into my ear, sliding his cold hands up my pajama top. At that moment, I was craving for more, wanting him to proceed, but then I broke out of the trance. That's when I stopped him.

'Why did you stop him, when the pleasure he made us exprience was great?' I shook my head, getting rid of those stupid thoughts.

When Matt pulled up in Taylor's driveway. With an umbrella in her hand, she ran up to the car, before entering in the back. "Hello." She greeted us, closing the umbrella; she set it on the car seat, before shutting the car door, "Isn't the morning beautiful."

"You seem rather happy." I state, looking at her through the front view mirror.

"I am indeed, I met the greatest person" Taylor murmured, an audible, content sigh escaping her lips, "Yesterday, remember how I told you through text, that I was having people over for dinner. Well, it was Lucas's family." She said, a deep frown on her face, but it vanished, and the smile on her face returned. "Then, I saw his brother. Oh, I swear he's a Calvin Klein model."

The car erupted with laughter. "Seriously Taylor, I swear your mind is corrupted." Matt chuckled, and I nodded my head in agreement. "What was his name?"

"Peter. He's a doctor" She answered, a sly smirk on her face.

The name was familiar. "Hold up, Peter. Yes I remember him. When I was sick, I went to the hospital and he was there." I said, "Matt you should see him, he is the hottest man alive."

Matt shook his head, "No, I am the hottest man alive." He claimed, arrogance in his voice.

"Whatever Matt!" Taylor exclaimed, jokingly, "But since we have ten more minutes, we should stop at Peter Pan. I haven't had breakfast, and I need my blueberry muffin!" She cried, desperately.

I turned to Matt, "Yeah, we should. Right now, I need a hot chocolate."

"You don't need a hot chocolate, you want one." He corrected, and I simultaneously glare at him. "Fine, fine, but first you have to say, Matt is sexy."

I roll my eyes, "Matt is sexy." Taylor and I grumbled in unison.

"I know I am." He said, a smirk on his lips.

When we reach Peter Pan, a sudden screech from Taylor, frightened me. I turned around, glaring at her. "What the hell Tay-Tay." I said furiously. When she let out a screech, it was straight into my ear, considering she was sitting behind me.

Taylor, in a hurry, undid her seatbelt, before she leaned in front, between Matt and me, "Look!" She said, ignoring me, she lifted her arm to point. I gave her a look, but nonetheless, I turned to face the front.

"Oh my god." I said in disbelief.

There she was, our best friend Danielle, lip locking with a person that isn't Terry. They were outside Peter Pan. "Is that who I think it is?" Matt asked, closing his eyes before opening them. "Fucking hell, this will leave Terry heartbroken. How dare she?"

"I can't believe it." Taylor spoke softly.

'Danielle was a hypocrite.' For once in my life, I agree. She complained about me, and how I was a player, when she's here cheating on her boyfriend. "We should tell Terry." I spoke up, with a sly look.

This is gold.

"We can't tell him, it will ruin his morning." Matt said, his grip on the steering wheel, tightened. He had a look of disappointment on his face. "We'll tell him at the end of school." Matt bit his lips, "I'll tell him." He corrected himself.

This was exciting, I genuinely didn't like drama, but this, this was classic.

*****

Just ten more minutes, and class would be over. I had to endure one hour of English, reading about a book called, 'Animal Farm.'

Fun.

"Matt, he told me about this morning." Ian whispers, "I can't believe it, I thought she would be faithful."

"Haven't you heard, looks can be deceiving?" I said, flipping to the next page. I leaned on Ian's shoulder and let out a small sigh. "This book, it's boring."

"I know, you've said it a thousand times." He said. I felt his warm lips press against my head, and I smile.

"If you're free after school, you should come over." I told him in a low seductive voice, "Since Logan's father has a meeting, and Faith told me that Belle and Laura have dance practice. They won't be there either..." I sneer, with a small grumble. "I don't want to be alone with Logan..."

"Tia, Tia, I would love to come, but I can't." I look up at him with a questioning look. "My father would like to discuss business work with me. It was last minute."

I shook my head. "Don't worry Ian, I understand."

The school bell rang, signaling the end of fourth period. Great, I still had two more exciting classes to attend. Ian and I stepped out of the classroom together. As we were walking through the hallway, Ian had his arm around my waist, bringing me closer. "Still can't believe you're not coming over." I whine childishly. When I heard my phone beep, I glance at the screen. It was a message from Taylor.

From: Tay-Tay

'Tia babe, where are you and Ian? Come to the canteen! I NEED TO TALK TO YOU xo'

When I was about to put my phone in my pocket, I heard another beep.

From: Tay-Tay

'HURRY BABE! :)'

"That girl is impatient." Ian chuckled, peering over my shoulder to look at the screen.

"She is." I nod my head in agreement. "But...did you hear about her mysterious stalker?"

"Yes, it is all Taylor complained about when we were Facebook messaging. It was about the mysterious person, and about Lucas."

"What a coincidence." I said sarcastically. "Though this morning, before we could go to class. We were in the bathroom discussing about the scene we witnessed today. Then Tay said that before Lucas could leave her house. They locked lips." I gush.

When we enter the canteen my weird best friend Taylor ran up to us. "My best friend!" She exclaimed, in a cheery tone as she gave me a hug. "Since it's a nice weather, we should go outside to eat." I see this lunatic is still in a cheerful mood.

"You idiot, nice weather?" I said, "It is raining."

Taylor gave me a sheepish smile. "Oh.... I forgot about that."

"Wait, I have a question. Terry, has anyone told him about this morning?" Ian inquired, whispering quietly.

"Told me what?"

"Terry!" Taylor said, her voice was anxious. "Ian, he meant that..." Out of nervousness, Taylor was beginning to the fumble with her words.

"That there is a sleepover tommorow." I immediately spoke up for the benefit of myself, and for everyone.

We couldn't tell Terry about Danielle kissing another guy that wasn't him. It would hurt him, and tear him apart because he and Danielle have been in a relationship for about two, to three years. Well, that's what I have heard from Taylor and Matt when we were in the car, witnessing the interesting scene in front of us.

In all fairness, I think it is terrible of Danielle to cheat on a great guy like Terry. He is faithful boyfriend to Danielle and thought of cheating on her would never cross his mind. I should know because I've attempted to seduce Terry a thousand times but he would restrain himself from foolishly falling under my charm.

"A sleepover on Friday?" Terry queried, "Yeah I'm up for it. But I'm free after seven-thirty because we have a football match, remember Ian?" He mused, looking at Ian directly. As soon as Ian heard this, he let out a small groan. "You girls have to come and watch the match, it's the finals!"

"I'll come!" Taylor peeped, with a grin on her face.

"Yeah, I can come. I can ask Logan's mother to drop me off." Terry gave me an odd look, and before he could answer me, I answered, "I have to live with Logan for month because my brother is on a trip to India." I explained.

"Oh, I see the rumors are true."

Oh great, the news about Logan and I living together has spread like a wildfire. I let out a loud, frustrated sigh. "Great." I scrunched up my nose, "Whose team are you against?" I asked, changing the topic.

"Your boyfriend's team." Terry sneered with what I'm sure was a smirk. I tilt my head to the side, wondering what he meant. "Logan." When I hear that idiot's name, I immediately frown.

"I hate you." I snarl, with a disappointed look.

"Oh Tia, don't be like that." He responded with an innocent look on his face.

"Last night, Lucas was talking about how I should watch him and his team play because they're the strongest team." Taylor said with a roll of her eyes, "He's such an arrogant, over-confident prick."

"Since when are you and Lucas best friends?" Terry gave her a playful look.

"Shut up." She exclaimed, punching Terry's arm. "He was over for dinner with his family because his mother, and my mother go to yoga classes, apparently. That's it, there isn't anything between Lucas and me."

"You never know Tay-Tay," I sang, in a teasing tone, "I mean, you did tell me that you and Lucas had a little make-out session ." I wink at her, and her face turned bright red.

"Me? What about you and Logan." She repulsed, defensively. Now it was her turn to smirk, and my turn to blush. "You and Logan can't seem to stay away from one another."

"I remember that time Tia was sick," Terry supported Taylor's statement, and used air-quotes when he reached the word "sick"

"And they were on the bed." A new voice said, joining in on the conversation.

"Matt....don't encourage those two idiots." I complain, burying my face in Ian's chest to hide my embarrassment.

"Don't be mean to my Tia." Ian said in order to defend me. I felt his arm wrap around my waist, as he brought me closer.

"Look at you and Ian." Taylor cooed.

I hate that girl

'You seem to hate people who state the truth...' My subconscious specified.

Ignoring the stupid voice, I cuddled up against Ian's warm body.

"Oh and before I forget, has anyone seen Dan? I tried calling her up, and I did send her a few text messages but she hasn't replied to me, yet." Terry said, worry clear in his tone.

Suddenly, there was tension in the air. It's like I could feel nervousness burning off everyone. "Maybe she's sick Terry." Matt said, smiling nervously.

"I don't know....Maybe." He sighs, and before he could carry on with the topic, a tall, blonde interrupted us.

"Hey Tia." He said, his thick Australian accent clear. "I was wondering, are you free this Sunday."

I smirk, "Sunday?" I pretended to think about his offer, before replying, "Yes I am free, pick me up at seven-thirty."

"Nice. I'll see you at seven-thirty babe." I could hear the pride, and confidence in his voice as he strode away to a group. From what I could tell, they were a group of guys, probably his mates. I couldn't tell what they were talking about, however I had a feeling it was about me because they kept glancing at me, and playfully punching him.

"You are terrible Tia." Taylor giggles, "Seriously, don't these people learn?"

I shrug my shoulders, "They don't."

****

"Yes, this dreadful day is over." Matt groaned, his body leaning against a pole.

It was the end of the day, and I think went better than the beginning, Terry didn't know about what had happened this morning which was great. However, the rain did not stop. Ian, Matt, Tay, and I were underneath the shelter as we wait for Faith to come and pick me up. "Has anyone told Terry about this morning? I thought we would tell him." I turned to Matt, "I thought you would tell him." I look at him expectantly.

"His family is coming over to my house for dinner tonight. So, when we're alone, I'll tell him." He explained. Matt seemed hesitant about the whole situation, and I did want to ask him about it but I'll save it for a later day.

"Tia, Tia, Tia!" I heard Belle's voice call out. When I turn around I see Belle poking her head out through the car window.

I thought they had dance practice. 'It is pouring Tia.' My subcious reasoned.

I gave Taylor and Matt a hug, but gave Ian a kiss on the lips. "I'll see everyone tomorrow." I smile at them before running in the rain, over to Faith's car.

"Hi Faith." I smile genuinely when I open the car door, and got into the front seat.

"Hello sweetheart. How was school?" She asked.

"It was great." I answered.

Since my parents were dead. I forgot what it's like to have a mother ask about my welfare. Whenever Faith or Clark was near me, I felt like my mother and father were still alive, like they never died. Their warm, welcoming smiles make me feel at ease.

I turn my head to the back, and saw Noah in the middle, and to his right, Laura. She had a look of frustration plastered onto her face.

'They would make the cutest couple'

"Hello Tia, you look beautiful." For a thirteen year old, Noah was a charmer.

"Thank you." I wink, "Are you coming over?" Noah nodded his head with a grin.

"You better not enter my room like you did. You do and I will shoot you." Laura threatened.

"Laura Sutherland, do not be mean to Noah." Her mother scolded, looking at Laura through the front-view mirror.

"You don't understand mum..." She whines. Laura folded her arms across her chest, and turns to look out the window.

When we arrive at the house, everyone in the car immediately steps out of the car. We run underneath for shelter. Once Faith presses the lock button on the little remote, she too runs toward us. "It's so cold." She shivers, unlocking the front door; we pile in one by one.

"Everyone's home." An unfamiliar voice said. A tall blonde girl enters, with Logan trailing behind her.... with no shirt on.... revealing his gorgeous, bare chest.

"Oh hello Kate, I didn't know you were coming over." Faith said, sounding disappointed.

"Since my brother is here, I thought I'd come over as well." She beams, before turning to face me.

"Kate, I'd like you to meet Tia. Isn't she beautiful?" Faith introduced me to her, like I was a prize.

I gave her a small smile, "It's-" I didn't finish my sentence because next, I let out a loud sneeze. I groan, clutching my head in pain.

"Oh no, sweetheart you better undress or you'll get sick. In fact, all of you should get undressed, and should wear warmer clothing." Faith commanded strictly.

"Y-Yes." I blink rapidly; my vision became blurry as my body rocks back and forth. I felt myself fall, but I didn't hit the floor.

I felt someone's arms wrap around my waist, then swept me off my feet. "I hope you know that you're an idiot." Logan said, carrying me bridal style. "I'll take her to her room." Ignoring all the curious, intent looks; he started climbing up the steps. "You should be more careful."

"Like I can control the weather." I complained, "How you'd get home?"

"I have a car remember."

"Oh, and who, who was that girl. Kate." I couldn't help but ask him. They were in the lounge room before we came, and Logan was topless. I wonder what they were doing when there wasn't anyone home.

"My ex-girlfriend." He simply said, "Why, is little Tia jealous?"

"No, whatever you do in your spare time is none of my business."

"Don't lie to me Tia. You are jealous." As we reach my room, Logan opened my door with ease before setting me down on my feet.

"I said I'm not jealous!" I yell at him, grinding my teeth together.

"Whatever." He shrugged his broad shoulders, walking away, but abruptly he stopped. Logan turned around to face me; he had that stupid, signature smirk on his face.

"And before I forget.... you're not free this Sunday."
