Niall had come home from the studio not long ago and had told you he was going to lay down for a bit before the Christmas party you guys were invited to. That was an hour ago and it was nearing time for when you should have been leaving so you decided you better start getting Niall up so you guys wouldn't be totally late. You headed to your guys bedroom, peaking into the room to see Niall sprawled out on the bed, blankets covering his whole body, just pieces of his hair sticking out the top of the blanket.
You smiled to yourself, pushing the door the rest of the way open walking toward your lump of a boyfriend. "Niall lovely, it's time to wake up" you whispered to him as you peeled away the warm comforter encasing his body.
Niall let out a groan curling up, trying to blindly reach for the blanket, to pull it back over himself. "Ah ah" you held the blanket out of reach and he whined, wrapping his arms around himself as he felt the cool air hit his warm skin.
"I know you want to sleep, but I've let you sleep for as long as possible. Our friends are expecting us love" you tried to reason with him. Niall slowly peaked his eyes open, rubbing his fists against his eyes to get the sleep out of them.
You could tell he was exhausted, the purple bags under his eyes were showing you that but you'd told your friends you'd be there and that you would bring Niall along with you. Niall sat up and stretched his back, cracking his neck, yawning.
"I'm sorry I can't let you sleep anymore baby, we're gonna leave in about 15 minutes so I was gonna give you a little time to get ready" you said as Niall nodded and moved to the edge of the bed.
You sat and watched silently as Niall went to the bathroom, you heard him wash his hands and brush his teeth before he can out. He walked to your guys closet and picked out a sweater and a pair of pants that matched before changing into his clothes.
"You ready?" You asked standing up and raising an eyebrow at him. Niall nodded to your questions and he followed you out to the front room where he grabbed his keys and wallet, as you grabbed your purse.
You guys were walking out to the car and Niall asked you if you'd drive and of course you said you would. You gave him a concerned look as he curled up in the passenger seat, closing his eyes to get a little shut eye on the way there. You frowned feeling like something might be wrong and you hoped Niall's mood would get better once he got around the party scene.
Well that wasn't the case. You guys pulled up to the party and you woke Niall letting him know you guys had arrived. He got out of the car slowly and instantly grabbed your hand, staying close to you as you guys walked to the front door.
You knocked and your best friend was instantly opening the door bringing you into a massive bear hug, screaming slightly because she hadn't seen you in forever. Niall stood back slightly watching the scene play out.
Niall had been excited about coming to the party with all of your friends the other day but now he wanted to be home. He had developed a massive headache at the studio that seemed to be turning into a migraine and his stomach was turning slightly at the different smells of snacks in the house.
You unlatched yourself from your friend and grabbed Niall's hand leading him through the house to talk to random people. You had told him he could talk to anyone but he seemed pretty content with staying attached to your hip for the time being, not that you minded.
As you moved toward the kitchen to get yourself a drink, Niall lingering next to you, you wrapped your arm around to his lower back giving it a rub. "You clingy tonight love?" You joked slightly giving his bum a pat. Niall just shrugged and got even closer to you, but staying quiet.
He was being strange for sure and you wondered what was going on with him. Niall was usually the life of a party but tonight was so different.
You guys found a seat on a couch, and you pulled Niall down to sit next to you, as you engaged in a conversation with your friends. Niall barely talked and simply shook his head yes or no or mumbled out replies to your friends trying to make conversation with him.
You were listening in on a conversation going on between 2 of your best friends when you saw Niall pinch the bridge of his nose between his two fingers, letting out a shaky breath of air. You instantly turned seeing him with a pained look on his face which you matched with a concerned one, putting your hand to the back of Niall's head.
"You alright?" You whispered in his ear not wanting to embarrass him in front of everyone. Niall shrugged feeling his headache intensify.
"Can we leave soon?" Niall asked you with a pleading look on his face. He really was starting to not feel well and he didn't want to end up being sick while here at your friends.
You nodded. "Yeah baby, we'll get out of here soon. Do you want to go sit in the car?" You asked not really knowing what was wrong with your boyfriend but guessing that something wasn't right from the way he was acting. He even looked somewhat ill.
Niall shook his head no wanting to stay as close to you as possible. You nodded your head and pushed Niall back slightly so he was sitting back against the couch in a more comfortable position, while you finished your conversation with your friends.
"Well I think we're gonna get out of here, Niall's been pretty tired lately because of recording and creating the new album" you announced to your friends needing a good reason for you guys to leave.
Your friends gave you a frown that you had to leave so early but decided to let you take Niall home as he looked like he was ready to pass out right then. One of your friends even offered to let him go lay down in her room but you kindly declined saying you should probably get him home.
Your friends were taking forever to say bye and you had a few people you wanted to say bye to so Niall whispered to you that he was going to go sit in the car and wait for you. He was feeling increasingly worse and felt like if he didn't get out of the crowded house he was going to be ill.
You nodded and gave a pale Niall the keys so he could get in. You watched him with worry as he stumbled out of the house and to the car. You went searching for your friends and hugged them bye before looking at your phone and realizing you had left Niall waiting for almost 10 minutes. And with that you headed for the door.
Niall was sitting in the car, with his head in his hands, waiting for you to get back out there. You were walking closer to the car and saw a pile of what seemed to be vomit, outside of the passenger door. That made you quicken your pace and you opened your door, hoping into the warm car, and out of the snow.
"Are you feeling alright baby? Did you get sick?" You asked worried and placed your hand on his back, giving it a comforting rub feeling him shuddering under your palm.
"I-I threw up" Niall whimpered out, bringing his hand to his eyes which were shedding tears, rubbing away the tear stains on his cheeks.
You cooed and brought Niall into an awkward hug as you were in a car. You rubbed his back as he leaned forward slightly, one arm wrapped tightly around his stomach, the other arm and hand holding up his head. "I'm sorry baby. I didn't realize you weren't feeling good hun" you whispered kissing the side of his head.
"Can we just go home so I can lay down and sleep?" Niall finally murmured out and you were quick to nod your head and start to pull out onto the road. It was about a 15 minute drive back to your home. Niall had barely let you pull the car into the garage when he was shoving open the door, heaving onto the ground.
You hissed and shut off the car, jumping out to run around to the passenger side. Niall was leaning out the car, his stomach now coating the concrete floor of your garage.
"You alright?" You asked quite honestly already knowing the answer. Niall confirmed that by shaking his head, letting out a dry retch whenever he caught a glance of the mess he'd made on the floor. He had nothing left in his stomach it seemed.
"Cmon love, lets get in bed" you coached as you guided Niall out of the car, careful to not step in his puke or let Niall step in it either. "I'm sorry" Niall mumbled knowing you'd have to clean it up.
"Its okay, I know you're not feeling well" you responded to his whimper. You got him into the house and were glad your bedroom was on the ground floor and you didn't have to get Niall up the grand staircase at the front of your house.
Niall collapsed on the bed instantly once he was close enough, and curled up in a fetal position. "Let's get out of these clothes" you said as you saw Niall curled up in his jeans and sweater. Niall made no move to help so you started peeling off his tight jeans and helping him out of his sweater. You weaved his arms into a sweatshirt, deciding he would be fine to sleep in the sweatshirt and boxers.
You pulled the comforter around Niall's body and tucked him in nice and warm before going to the bathroom to get yourself ready for bed. You came out to the bedroom 5 minutes later, in one of Niall's shirts, carrying a bin just in case he felt sick in the middle of the night.
You curled your body around Niall's and whispered an I love you to him before wrapping your arms around him, being the big spoon as he always enjoyed whenever he was ill. Niall felt your presence around him and curled up to you needing all the comfort he could get from you at the moment.
