𝕸y life is very intricate. Strange. Crazy. A special pregnant werewolf, married at nineteen and wanted to be on both sides of the hugest Wizarding War in history, and a rather peculiar bond with the supposed darkest wizard of all time. This was definitely not in the five year plan Minnie had me map out for after Hogwarts in my fifth year. Not at all. Yet, at this point, I wouldn't change absolutely anything in the world, especially being married to the love of my life and having a baby with him. Starting a family with my best friend. My husband.
I rolled over to face him, smiling softly as he laid facing the ceiling, one of his hands placed behind him on the pillow, one stretched out towards me. His messy locks were sprawled out over the pillow, some loose strands hanging over his forehead, it was longer than usual, I think I liked it. His pale pink lips were parted as light snores escaped them, his eyelashes fluttering as he dreamed in his sleep. I wanted to laugh from his nose twitching as a habit he's picked up over the years to push his glasses up his face, even though he doesn't wear them to sleep.
How could someone so chaotic and wild, be so peaceful and adorable sleeping?
My hand drifted down to my stomach, feeling our baby as I gazed at him, just knowing he was going to be the best dad in the world. I knew at this moment that if something were to happen with this war, I would save my last breath for them, I would protect them with everything and I would know our baby, whoever they are would be in capable hands. For now though, i'm happy were are. I couldn't help myself edging closer and slowly peppering loving kisses all over his face, feeling his lips quirk upwards as he stirred from his slumber.
"That was some awakening, Mrs Potter" He mumbled raspy, flitting his hazel eyes open, tired from sleep as he reached his arm out over the bed side table, picking up his glasses and placing them on his face, smiling whole heartedly at me.
"Mm, you liked that Mr Potter?" I hummed, brushing my lips over his cheek leisurely, a light sigh escaping his lips.
"I did. You're in a good mood" He observed, as I smiled tiredly, rubbing my nose against his affectionately, "Could that have anything to do with yesterday?"
"The day I married the love of my life?......possibly" I murmured, trailing my fingers over his jaw as I propped myself up on my elbow, peering down at him.
"Hm, how's our baby Potter?" He questioned, shuffling on his side and pressing his lips to my stomach, my heart fluttering in my chest, "He says his mummy looks beautiful"
I laughed lightly, pulling my t-shirt up further as he leaned his forehead against my stomach, pressing kisses to the bump every now and then.
"And that she should give daddy a kiss" He uttered with a smirk, my eyes rolling playfully.
"He? You think it's a boy?" I wondered out loud, my hands raking through his hair as he hummed a soft tune, which i'm now thinking is Abba, 'Honey, honey'.
"I do, I think he's a boy. I don't mind though, if it's my little girl I'm still going to love them more than anyone else. Either way" He declared, finally drawing away from my stomach and moving upwards to me.
"More than me?" I responded, "They better love me more, i'll have carried them for nine months all you did was come inside me"
"I think I did a little more than that, Lunes" He chuckled, running his tongue over his lips, "What do you think mum? A kiss for dad?"
"Dad had lots of kisses yesterday" I teased, a pout forming on his lips that made my heart skip a few beats, "Such a pouty husband"
"Say it again"
"Such a pouter"
"No- not that"
"Oh you mean husband....my pouty now grinning like an idiot husband" I repeated, his palm resting on my stomach again, his eyes covering with love and adoration.
"Did you hear that baby? Husband" He spoke excitedly, "I'm her husband, and she's my wife. My fluffy wife!"
"Fluffy?" I barked out a laugh, placing my hand down on top of his as he chuckled again, grinning goofily.
"We can't say the f-u-c-k word in front of the baby so fluffy as an alternative"
"James, love, i'm not sure the baby has ears yet" I reminded him, sliding back down carefully, fully facing him, my face inches away from his.
James gazed at the blonde werewolf in front of him, her chocolatey eyes having an extra special sparkle to them today that made his heart soar beyond anything. A happy Elody, is a good Elody to wake up to, it made him extremely happy despite how much he adored her grumpy self. He wonders if every morning is going to be like this from now on for the rest of their lives, the two of them and their baby, maybe more babies in the future, a family. He envisions a small little girl with soft blonde hair and big brown eyes, that he would read princess stories to and braid her hair or do some cute pigtails in. He can also see a little boy, one like him but with her personality, one he can teach quidditch to and hand chocolate whenever they wanted it. He definitely saw it.
"What?" I asked quietly as he stared at me for quite a long while, a blush rising to my cheeks as his smile grew bigger.
"I just love you so much, my wife. My actual wife, the mum to my baby. You have no idea Elody, it's fucking perfect" He breathed out, reaching forward and pulling me closer, littering kisses all over my face, a giggle escaping my lips before I could step it, "I love you so fucking much"
"I thought we couldn't say that word anymore" I hummed, my nose brushing against his before he connected our lips together, not caring about our morning breath.
"An exception. Just for you" He spoke between kisses, laughing happily as he drew back, pulling me to lay on top of him carefully.
"I love you so fluffy much" I whispered, reaching down and capturing his lips again, my front coming into contact with his bare one, "But our baby is pressing on my bladder again and I need the bathroom"
"Alright, my love" He chuckled, helping me up off him, watching me walk into the bathroom of his old bedroom of the manor we had all stayed at last night, before falling back on the bed, the boy spreading his arms and legs out, feeling the most joyous and blessed he's ever done his entire life.

"Here they are! Mr and Mrs Potter!" Sirius cheered as we strolled into the kitchen after I came out the bathroom, everyone turning to us with a cheer and a clap, making us grin even more, "How's the pup?"
"Hungry. The pups hungry" I answered honestly, placing my hand over my stomach as the smell of pancakes filled my nostrils, Mia with a knowing smile on her face.
"Dining room?"
"Dining room" We all nodded, walking into the room as Mia, Monty, Peter, Regulus and Remus began bringing everything in for breakfast, waffles, stacks of pancakes, different fruits, melted chocolate, syrups, toasts. She really out did herself this time.
"Wow mum" James marvelled, whilst pulling my chair out for me and allowing me to sit down as Mary, Marlene and Dorcas grabbed an extra chair in to fit, Alice having gone home last night with Frank due to also being pregnant.
"I thought it would be nice to have a big breakfast, cure some hangovers" She responded, aiming it towards Regulus who groaned, muttering something about Sirius drugging him.
"I gave him a few shots, nothing more than he should have been able to handle" The long haired boy shrugged, Remus chuckling.
"You gave him twenty at once!"
"Sirius" Monty and Mia scolded, the tousled haired boy whimpering from the noise, tucking into some food and orange juice as James plated up my favourite things for me, kissing my temple.
"How are you not hungover, you usually drink the most, Padfoot" James chirped, my head nodding in agreement.
"I poured water down his throat and he was too busy dancing the entire night he didn't drink as much" Remus responded, winking at his boyfriend who smirked.
"Just water down his throat?" Marlene quizzed, causing a deadly silence, James and I glancing down the table to where Evelyn was sat, her cheeks red, the both of us exchanging a glance.
"Definitely not Marlene Potter!" We cried out, the girl groaning out loud, laughs filling the dining room, much to Regulus' displeasure, helping the atmosphere.
"Reg, just take a hangover cure" I snorted as he was trying to keep his eyes open, Mia humming gently, "You didn't think of that?"
"Nope"
"I would have thought you'd be a bit longer, you know, being married and all....." Sirius voiced, the both of us quirking a brow, lifting our heads, Mary placing her hands over Evelyn's ears, Peter coving his own as well as Monty who glared at James and Sirius, "No married shags?"
"How does this concern you?" James inquired, narrowing his eyes ever so slightly at the boy, pointing his fork in his direction, "If I want to shag my wife I will"
"James" I groaned, biting my lip and catching Mia's sparkling eyes, making me blush even more. "We did not shag"
"Right and i'm the one having a baby" Sirius remarked sarcastically, gesturing to my stomach, my lips parting, "So you have shagged!"
"He's not my boyfriend" Remus muttered, wrinkling his nose up and scooting towards Peter who was cringing still.
"Of course we have! We're having a baby! How's you think it works?!"
"Personally I think that the pen-"
"No!" We all shouted at him, even Regulus, the boy raising his hands up in defence and shrugging at us, my eyes flickering down to my stomach, my palm rubbing over lightly, "Definitely not Sirius Potter!"
"Why do I have to be hungry now?" I mumbled, everyone stopping eating thinking about Sirius' words.
"Because you're eating for two" Mia responded softly, my nose scrunching up as I took bites of my breakfast, gradually everyone else joining back in.
"I think we all need to be separated. All the couples" Monty declared firmly, eyeing all of us.
"Bit late for that now dad, I'm married and have a baby on the way" James coughed, smiling innocently at Monty, who glared again, "I'll sit with Evie then"
"Everyone sit down, Fleamont don't be dramatic, they're all adults. Except Regulus and Evelyn of course"
"I'm only a year younger" Regulus grumbled from his seat, causing Sirius to bark out a laugh.
"You're still a baby to us, Regulus" Remus grinned, "So cute and adorable"
"Shut the fuck up, Lupin"
"Fluff!" James and I spoke simultaneously, everyone turning to is confusedly, "Shut the fluff up"
"Oh Godric, they're in baby mode already"
"Baby Lenny-"
"Marlene" Dorcas scolded, swatting her, "They're not naming their baby after you. You're just the weird aunt who they run from because she's insane"
"Right on, Meadowes" Regulus chuckled, after Mia reluctantly gave him the hangover cure she's been hiding from him, wanting him to suffer so he wouldn't drink as much again.
"It's going to be named after me-"
"No, me-"
"It should be me"
"Still hungry?" James whispered in my ear, ignoring the group as they tossed around random names with 'Potter', placing his hand down on my stomach, stroking his thumb up and down.
"No but I-"
"Hot chocolate?" He murmured, my eyes meeting his sincere ones, almost making me tear up from how well he understood and knew me, almost like inside and out, "Hot chocolate coming right up, my love" He told me, kissing the top of my head before slipping out of the room towards the kitchen, a dazed smile on my face as I looked down to my stomach again and my wedding ring, not realising everyone had stopped speaking.
The entire group paused, noticing the blonde girl gazing down at her stomach and he rings, a lovesick smile on her face that made their hearts warm. Here they were all discussing what the baby should be called, now finding the girl obviously madly in love with this baby already despite only being a few weeks along. They all smiled, knowing this girl was going to be one of the best mums out there, unconditionally loving her child like no other. They smiled even more when the boy appeared back in the room, ignoring everyone else and placing a mug of hot chocolate down in front of her, whispering in her ear and kissing her temple lovingly before looking up again to see them all staring.
"What?" James mumbled, my head snapping up finding everyone's eyes on us, the room completely silent, my eyebrows knitting together.
"You're so in love" Mary sighed softly, my cheeks reddening as I took the hot chocolate into my hands, taking a sip and allowing the chocolatey taste to dance on my tongue, the boy knowing just how much I liked it.
"I'm glad you've noticed, perhaps yesterday helped. When I married her, maybe?" James spoke, rubbing the back of his neck and looking back to me, "Or when we told you we're going to have a baby?"
"Oh I thought it was a surprise, you forgot the contraceptive spell or something" Peter mumbled, our eyebrows raising as we shook our heads.
"No, we wanted a family together" I answered quietly, placing my hand on top of his on my thigh, everyone gazing at the two of us with soft eyes.
"Fluff! I'm going to cry!" Sirius cried out, burying his face into Remus' shoulder, as James leaned back, reaching over and kissing my head again, nuzzling his head against mine, not caring for anyone else in the room.
We had each other. And our baby.
That's all we could ever need.
