" 𝖄ou know what, Mel, by the way James looks at you it's like he might fancy you" Mary whispered in my ear as though we're gossiping like second years back in our Hogwarts days, eyeing the James and Sirius in front of us, chatting together, a soft laugh escaping my lips,
"You think he might like me?" I whispered back, my cheeks flushing when he looked over, the two of us giggling causing them both to quirk a brow at us, Marlene, Alice and Dorcas joining our sides as everyone was here for just a casual day to hang out together in light of the war ending,
"What are we whispering about?" The blonde witch asked quietly, her finger trailing a heart on my stomach that made me smile widely, knowing she already had a soft spot for my twins, Mary and I exchanging a mischievous look, looking to James and Sirius and back to them,
"We think James might have a crush on Mel" Mary informed them causing the both of them to laugh gently, shaking their heads with smiles,
"Really? This is huge, maybe you should ask him out, Mel" Dorcas suggested, playing along with us, my hand smoothing over my swelled stomach, looking over to where Remus, Peter and Frank were playing with Neville and Harry on the floor, Regulus stood with Monty and Mia chatting quietly to them,
"I don't know....he might not say yes, how embarrassing that would be" I mumbled, averting my eyes down, Alice placing her hands over mine on my bump, nodding her head,
"It's worth a try, and if not, we're all here for you" She reassured me, all of us trying our best not to laugh loudly, earning more giggles and whispers from each other on the matter,
"Alright that's enough, what's going on Mrs Lupin-Black-Pettigrew-Potter?" Sirius called out suddenly, causing us all to shoot our heads to the two boys, James sat with an arrogant grin on his face until his eyes grew wide and he realised what Sirius just called me, turning and hitting him, causing us to laugh even more,
"What do you mean, Mrs Lupin-Black-Pettigrew-Potter? She's my wife. Mrs Potter, that's it. You hear that, my bloody wife not yours" He scoffed light heartedly, my lips twitching into a smile, feeling butterflies in my stomach, listening to his words. That will never get old, i'll never get tired of hearing it. Mrs Potter. His wife.
"See I told you I think he likes you" Mary muttered, nudging my arm playfully, causing the two boys to glance over again when Marlene announced,
"Oi! J.P. James Potter, Mel has something she wants to ask"
"Cheers, Marlene" I grumbled, my cheeks blushing, when I met inquisitive glance, his crooked grin on his face that made me fall even more in love with him, his messy hair hanging over his forehead and his nose wriggling to push his glasses up even more as they all waited for me to say it, "Mar help me up, please"
James furrowed his eyebrows when the curly haired girl helped his wife stand up, her cheeks reddening when she looked at him, his heart fluttering in his chest when she approached, his face softening considerably when she stood inbetween his legs acting shy and sweet. He grinned goofily when she leaned down, pressing her lips to his ear, butterflies dancing wildly in his stomach when she whispered for just him to hear,
