𝕿he Wedding was drawing nearer, as Autumn began to close and the end of October was approaching. Fortunately, the next full moon was to be at the end of November, meaning Remus and I would be perfectly fine for the wedding on the tenth of December still and the full moon for December was the fifteenth. Mia and all the girls have been planning away for the day, wanting it absolutely perfect, asking Regulus and I for input now and again and to check it was what we wanted. James didn't care much for the design of the wedding, in his own words he just 'wanted to marry the bloody beautiful girl', which I took as a great compliment.
Regulus was my man of honour. Sirius was James' best man. Alice, Mary, Marlene, Dorcas and Evelyn were my bridesmaids, Peter, Remus, Frank were the groomsmen, just to even the numbers out.
Although, I still had an issue.
I hadn't asked anyone to walk me down the aisle.
I knew who I wanted, I just needed to ask him.
"What's this all about?" He questioned as I asked him to come up to my bedroom to talk for a few moments, a concerned and worried expression on his face as he scanned over my nervous expression.
I have no idea why I'm nervous he was my twin brother, he was my other half, he was my family.
"You're my twin brother, Remmy, you've been with me the longest out of everyone, you've always stuck by my side no matter what. When we didn't have many friends growing up, I knew it was okay because I had you, I was always going to have you, that's what's so special about having a twin. I wouldn't be who I am without you, you're a part of me I can never let go off, you are in me, Rem. I don't know....you're my family, my Lupin" I trailed off, twirling my engagement ring around my finger, nibbling at my bottom lip as he remained silent, reaching forward and taking my hand reassuringly, allowing me to continue.
"Every transformation, every miserable, depressing day, every bad time you- you held my hand through it all, pulling me close and telling me it was going to be okay, being strong for both of us no matter how much it was hurting and affecting you too. You always put me first, Remmy, always. Because we're connected for eternity, yeah?"
"Connected for eternity, El" He nodded, leaning forward and pressing his lips to my forehead as I sniffed, his hand squeezing mine.
"I-I'm sorry, i've been extra emotional these past couple of days, it's fucking annoying" I murmured, hearing him chuckle, smiling at me, "Remmy?"
"El"
"Would you walk your twin sister down the aisle? Would- would you walk me down the aisle at my wedding?" I questioned, his eyes widening ever so slightly as his lips parted, "W-well, Dad's gone and uh Monty I love him but he's not a Lupin- I fucking hell!" I groaned, feeling the boy tackle me down on the bed, hugging me tightly, tears falling down my face from him as he squeezed me tighter.
"Of course I'll walk you down the aisle, El, you're my sister, i'll do anything for you" He whispered, my smile widening so much I thought my lips could crack and my jaw would break, "I love you, El, so fucking much. Thank you, thank you, thank you"
"I-I don't want anyone else, I need my twin by my side" I muttered as he nuzzled his head into my neck, sniffing himself.
"What have we fucking turned into? We're meant to be fearful creatures not bloody crying over each other" He spoke almost silently, causing me to let out a breathy laugh, hugging him tighter.
"Prongs?! They're cheating on us!" Sirius yelled from the doorway, Remus muttering curse words in my ear from the boy interrupting us, James coming bounding up the stairs, grunting when he walked into a wall.
"I knew it! I knew you were together!" He shouted accusingly, Sirius nodding his head in agreement as Remus and I pulled away, knitting our eyebrows together, perplexed at their statements.
"We're twins" We spoke simultaneously, both of them shivering from our alikeness again like we had always done, "So how could we be together, that's incest"
"Stop that right now!" James cried, sheltering behind Sirius to protect himself form us, Sirius also backing away.
"Stop what?" We hummed, after exchanging a glance, deciding to creep them out and annoy them even more, "We aren't doing anything"
"I'm scared Prongs" Sirius whispered to James as though we weren't sat in front of him, the both of us giving each other a high five when they back away slowly before running away.
"Lupin twins 1, Potter/Black's 0"
"Fuck- how did we end up here? I'm marrying idiot one and you're with idiot two"
"We were brainwashed, El, they must have brainwashed us. It's the only explanation"
"It's funny isn't it?" I chuckled, "The first two people we met on the train to Hogwarts are the two people we ended up with. Of course there's Wormy too when he came in a little after but it was the four of us from the beginning"
"Strange.....and to think I had a crush on Prongs in third year" He hummed out loud, my grin only widening.
"Oh I knew Remmy, but then you started to look at grey eyes instead"
"How did you-"
"Twin intuition. Lupin twin telepathy" I said simply, sliding off the bed and leaving our bedroom, back downstairs where the other three boys were waiting for our Halloween game night.
"Have you stopped now?" James asked, setting up the muggle monopoly board in the middle of our coffee table, Sirius and Peter munching on some Halloween sweets and chocolate that Peter had brought over.
"No" We shook our heads together, causing the three of them to groan and sigh, nevertheless allowing us all to take our seats around the table, James tugging me closer and wrapping his arm over my shoulder, my head falling on his shoulder.

"Moony, you owe me £400" James told him with a smug smirk, Peter and I exchanging a glance, knowing Remus didn't have £400 in the monopoly money.
"Padfoot, my love, pay the stag" Remus spoke softly, Sirius lifting his head to the bot, gazing at him longingly before giving James £400, keeping his eyes trained on Remus.
"You can't do that! It's cheating!" James declared, pointing his finger at Remus and his money, "You have to pay-"
"Padfoot wants to pay, don't you my darling?" He asked again, Sirius nodding his head with a lovesick expression.
"Mhm, of course. Anything for my Moony" He hummed, shoving an extra £100 at James, "Keep the change"
"You can't do that! It's in the rules-"
"You haven't followed any rules your entire life except quidditch ones. You have your money, leave us alone"
"Yeah, Prongs, leave us alone" Sirius grinned, pecking Remus' cheek, Peter and I rolling our eyes at them, knowing this was going to turn into a full blown argument.
"Elody! Tell them!"
"Don't look at me" I muttered, raising my hands, "I'm neutral in this war"
"Moony if you can't play you're out of the game"
"I have paid" Remus pointed out, pointing to the extra £500 Sirius had paid for, settled in front of the bespectacled boy.
"No- Padfoot paid, you didn't. You can't do that!" James replied again firmly, glancing between the two boys that smirked at each other.
"I hope you're not being homophobic, Prongs. I wanted to pay for mon amour, deal with it"
"I'm winning anyway so, up your arse with your sodding cheating money!" James claimed, getting a dramatic gasp and a hand on the heart to Sirius who began arguing back with the boy, Peter drifting off to sleep on the floor as Remus watched in another world.
"I'm going to bed before I become witnesses to a murder I don't want to see" I told them, saying a quick good night, James promising he wouldn't be long until he was up there with me, despite continuing to argue with Sirius, trying to find the rule book of monopoly.
I wrinkled my nose at the strange feeling in my stomach as I got changed into some pyjamas, washing my face and slipping under James and I's red covers, burying my face into the pillow and immediately drifting off to sleep, becoming increasingly tired from the day even though I haven't done much.
James hummed, locking up the doors and windows after tucking Peter under a blanket on the couch and letting Sirius and Remus quietly go up to one of the guest bedrooms they were staying in for the night, seeing it was way past midnight now and he didn't want them to go home. The monopoly game ended shortly after the blonde departed for bed, ending in James flipping the board, the pieces falling everywhere and all of them deciding to talk and watch a movie on the television instead.
He smiled to himself at the sight of his fiancée cuddled up on her side of the bed under the covers, looking like the snuggliest, warm teddy bear in the entire world. He quietly closed the door behind him, changing out of his clothes and into some pyjamas, sliding under the covers beside her, yawning gently as he watched her eyes flutter faintly as she shifted.
"Sorry, darling, I didn't mean to wake you" He murmured, as I rolled closer, tucking myself up against his warm, secure body, his hands delicately raking through my hair.
"It's okay, I don't mind" I uttered quietly, brushing my lips over his neck after nestling my head closer to his wanting to be close to him, "What time is it?"
"Around two I think- you alright? You left quite early" He mumbled, a bit of worry in his tone, squeezing me tighter.
"Just felt a bit weird it's probably just with everything on my mind with the wedding. I was just tired" I commented, lifting my arm up and sliding it onto his chest, his cinnamon scent a little bit heightened today.
"Mm.....maybe" He responded in his low, quiet voice, my hand able to feel the vibrations in his chest when he talked, "It will be over soon...not long to go" He sighed lightly, reaching up and turning the lamp off, leaving me in utter darkness.
"Yeah" I nodded, smilies when he kissed the top of my head, lifting my t-shirt hem up slightly, letting me know what he wanted. I rolled off him, facing away from him and rather the window, feeling him curl up behind me, burying his face into the back of my neck, his hand resting over my front.
James sighed softly to himself at her addictive vanilla, chocolate and cedar wood scent as he buried his nose into her soft hair sprawled out along the pillow. He shuffles as close as he could do, their bodies in full contact, relaxing together. There was something being around the blonde werewolf that made him feel extremely lighthearted and comfortable, a feeling he absolutely adored.
"Good night, my love" He murmured, pressing his lips to the nape and my neck, his fingertips trailing small shapes on the cooler skin on my stomach.
"Good night, James" I whispered, closing my eyes and drifting off into a deep sleep, feeling totally comfortable and protected in his arms around me, "I love you"
"I love you more, Lunes" He voiced raspy, leaning over and gently brushing his lips over my cheek, humming in content as the both of us drifted into a slumber, soft snores escaping our mouths as we held each other close.
