We stared at each other waiting for the other to speak.
It's been ten minutes.
Ten minutes since James and Remus left.
My ears pricked up as I heard a childish cackle behind the doors until they were pushed open, my eyes finally shifting from Tom's finding no other than another Black at the doors paused, a mad glint in her eye. Bellatrix has always been the wicked Black, the extremist of them all. Gone of the rails, the worst of the worst.
"What is she doing here?!" She screeched, causing me to wince from her sickly voice, turning back to Tom with a distasteful expression on my face.
"She's my guest Bellatrix. And you didn't knock" He spoke rather sharply, sending her a cold look.
"You allowed a filthy half breed into this house! An animal?! The one that took my dear Reggie away from my aunt and uncle, friends with my abomination of a cousin?!"
"Lovely" I mumbled, sipping my hot chocolate again as she continued screaming about be, my hands itching to annoy her.
"Crucio!" I heard him snarl, the witch dropping to the floor withering around as she continued cackling like a mad woman, my eyebrows raising when he lifted the curse, grinning at me, "Away with you!"
"Sorry, My Lord" She muttered, before skipping out of the room, glaring at me on the way, the doors shutting at once, leaving the two of us alone again.
"Sorry about that, she has a short temper" He responded calmly as I nodded, lifting my knees up to my chest, tapping my fingernails on the desk.
"Since when has Severus Snape been a death eater?" I queried ponderously, wanting to know when he happened to take the mark, if he was still friends with Lily.
"Halfway through your sixth year if I recall correctly, I marked your year then, I was meant to be marking Regulus then-"
"I would apologise but i'm not sorry for taking him in after he ran away. He deserves what he's got and he's happy" I commented, his hands raising in defence as he shrugged.
"It's better I didn't mark him than mark him and then run away. Then I would have had to kill him"
"I wouldn't have let you kill him, I'm quite fond of that boy" I told him with a dazed smile, lifting my bracelet up to show him the red and green. Red for Godric, Green for Salazar, Red for me, green for him.
"I can see that"
"It's bad that I'm here....."
"Why is that?"
"Because i'm going to be questioned as though i'm a killer when I go back by the man with the fluffy beard-"
"He still has that ridiculous beard?" He queried, a disgusted look on his face when I nodded my head, "You don't have to go back to him, Melody, you know that. You can join me"
"I'd rather not be apart of anything, live my life with James, my family....no snake or Phoenix tattoos" I sighed softly, inspecting the room again, "This isn't your own house"
"If I had my own house, it's the first place they would try and attack. Here? I can leave in an instant and they have no proof i'm here" He explained, looking around and back to me, smiling faintly, "I hope you're not helping him, Melody"
"Who?"
"The old fool"
"Tom" I mumbled, running a hand through my hair, "Everyone I love is on that side, James, Remus, Sirius, Regulus, Peter, Monty, Mia, Evie, Marlene, Mary, Dorcas, Alice, Li- Minnie. They're my family, they're on that side. My loyalties lie with my family and friends"
"They're holding you back"
"They're making me strong" I corrected him, hearing him huff, shaking his head, "I'd be lost without them, I know it's difficult for you to understand, but without them I may as well be dead. I can't live without them"
"I think you're making a mistake" He told me, nodding his head slowly.
"I know you do, I don't think I am" I replied with a small smile, drinking up the last of my hot chocolate as we sat in a comfortable silence, "Are you going to kill me now? The first time I asked for some form of chocolate first and you said not yet so? Now?"
Tom gazed at the girl in front of him, an unfamiliar feeling settling in his stomach. She was unique, something he'd never come across before in someone. She wasn't afraid to challenge him and wasn't easy to manipulate. She knows what she wants and she'll do it. As much as he hated her reason for it, for love, he felt a form of admiration for this girl. She didn't treat him like a cruel monster, she treated him like a human being and he quite liked it. Not that he would ever admit it to anyone though. She was fairly funny too- amusing.
"No, no, I'm not going to kill you" He laughed, running his hand through his hair.
"No? Don't want to have the glory of killing the special werwolf?" I teased, standing up from my seat, waving my wand over my mug, having it disappear from the table.
"A magical waste" He muttered, "Do come back if you change your mind. I'll still have you"
"I know you will, but i'm not going to change my mind. You should though, you should stop killing people, it might feel good but family feels better" I replied, leaving before he had the chance to speak another word, "Bye Tommy!"
"Don't call me that Melody!" He yelled from inside the room, a grin on my face as I walked the empty hallways of the dark manor wanting nothing more than to leave this overwhelming snake pit.

"Oh, such a surprise" I gasped, stepping into the living room of the Potter manor, Dumbledore sat there as usual asking questions with a Benjy Fenwick and the boys there with disbelief written on their expression, "Do you know what? Atleast Tom doesn't act like he cares, why are you acting like you care?"
"Melody-"
"No. You know what Dumbledore, i'm this fucking close, this close to leaving your Order" I told him, gesturing between my fingers, everyone staring at me dumbfounded from my immediate outburst.
"There is nothing keeping you in the Order Melody I-"
"Actually if I were to leave your Order, nobody would stay. You'd lose my group" I stated, folding my arms over my chest as he dropped his head down, looking directly at me, his twinkly eyes sparkling.
"That is quite confident for you to say, Melody. Why do you believe they would follow you?"
"Because I want love not power. I care, I protect and I sure as hell don't manipulate. But i'm not a fucking coward so i'm not running away, i'm saving your arse and keeping everyone on your side. Another wrong doing by me or someone I love.....there'll be three sides to this war" I warned, leaving the room and jogging up to my room up in the manor, leaving everyone astonished and bewildered.
"I'll be seeing myself out" Dumbledore announced, standing up and stepping into the fireplace, no one daring to say the next word, Benjy stood there unsure what to do before he just kind of waved, going into the fireplace and flooing off.
"What do you think happened?" Mia pondered to no one in particular, all of them exchanging a glance.
"I don't know but I fucking love that badass girl" Regulus grinned, not even apologising when the elder Potters sent him a look.
James smiled at his mum when she nodded at him, standing up and jogging up to her bedroom she's always stayed in, in the manor. He knocked on the door, gently opening it and scanning around, not finding her anywhere and then hearing her shower running with water steaming under the door. He frowned faintly, opening the door to the bathroom, seeing the outline of her body facing away from the glass door, sat down on the shower floor, allowing the steaming water to trickle down over her.
"Mind if I join?" I heard James speak, stepping into the shower bare, my eyes travelling up and down his body before I nodded, biting my lip, holding my breath for a few moments as he sat down next to me.
"I-i'm on my-"
"Period, yeah I know, it uh doesn't bother me" He mumbled, my heart fluttering as he leaned back against the door, the hot water falling down over our bodies as we sat there in silence, his hand slipping onto my bare thigh, squeezing it gently, "What was all that about, love?"
"I'm sick of war, i'm sick of Dumbledore....."
"Y-you're not sick of Voldemort" He whispered throatily, causing me to turn to him, swallowing thickly.
"Him. I despise what he's done- what he's doing. I despise his awful death eaters, but he's more pleasant than Dumbledore" I told him honestly, muttering a water repellent charm for his glasses so he could see, allowing me to see his hazel eyes, "I'd never join him, that goes against what I stand for- but I-"
"I understand, love, I know" He murmured, his har flopping down to his forehead making me smile, "I also think you're a bit-"
"Don't say moody I'll kill you" I threatened, watching his lips twitch upwards when I pouted, huffing, "I'm not moody!"
"I didn't say you were!" He defended, lifting his hands up and wiping wet blonde pieces of hair from my face as I became increasingly aware of the bloody and water puddle underneath me from sitting on the tiled floor, "It's alright, Elody, you can't help it. It's natural"
"It's disgusting"
"No, its completely normal" He hummed, plantings a kiss on my forehead before lifting his hand up and finding my vanilla shampoo still here from ages ago, gesturing for me to turn around so he could lather it on my hair for me, "It was hot, you know, standing up to Dumbledore"
"I'm extra moody today"
"Oh you're admitting it now are you?" He laughed lightly, massaging my scalp with my shampoo, my eyes fluttering closed, enjoying the affection.
"It's a bit disappointing, isn't it? Growing up you're always taught to like the good guys and hate the bad guys, it's a bit disappointing when the bad guy is nicer to you than the supposed good guy especially when you've idolised him for years" I voiced, grabbing my body wash from the side and beginning to wash my body as he rinsed my hair off, running his fingers through the silky, soaked locks.
"Yeah. Yeah it is" He breathed out, "You scared the shit out of me sending me away like that again, I thought I wasn't going to see you for another three days"
"He let me walk out freely this time, there was no need to escape" I returned, "Wormy alright?"
"Yeah, mum talked to him, gave him his favourite tea and biscuits, he's all good now"
"I didn't want to keep you there I just knew I had to get him out of there and Sirius seemed like the option he'd be most willing to leave at the time-"
"We understood Elody, we trust you more than anyone in the world" He hummed, allowing me to sit there as he washed his own hair quickly, my hand resting on my stomach from the cramps, "You're right though, if you left the Order, we'd all follow you. All of us"
"I know, but I don't want a target on your backs by Dumbledore too so we'll stay for now and see how it goes. But i'm not playing nice anymore if he does something I don't like"
"And we'll be backing you up one hundred percent" He replied, shutting the water off and standing up, reaching out and draping a towel around his his vline, helping me stand up and wrapping a towel around me, "Hey, look at me" He whispered, my eyes meeting his when I looked up to him, "We'll sort this out darling, we'll get through it if we stick together"
"I know, we will, I know" I whispered back, his head dropping against mine as we stood in the middle of my bathroom, water droplets sliding down both of our bodies.
"You wait here, i'll get you some underwear, comfy clothes and a tampon, okay?" He uttered softly, my heart nearly bursting with love and adoration for the boy as he kissed my head again, leaving the bathroom to find me things as I rinsed down the red from where I was sat on the floor, watching it go down the plug hole.
He came back in moments later, handing me everything in a small pile before leaving me again to get dressed and sorted out. I left the bathroom, finding him sat on my bed with a hairbrush in his hand, twirling it around, patting me to sit down in front of him. I muttered a hair drying charm before sitting down in front of him, allowing him to brush through my hair delicately, my eyes fluttering closed again at the feeling of the brush running down my back, a shiver running through my body.
"Godric I love that" I breathed out, my lips parting as he carried on brushing all the way down to the ends, making sure to touch my back through my sweatshirt.
"I know you do, darling" He laughed, "I'll brush through your hair forever if it makes you happy"
"That would be nice"
"I'm a good fiancé"
"I think you'll be an even better husband"
