"𝕲ood Morning, Melody" Mia greeted as I trudged into the kitchen on New Years Eve, Peter and Remus already in the kitchen, James and Sirius nowhere to be seen. Who knows what them two idiots could be up to. On Christmas morning they woke us up to singing 'God rest ye merry hippogriff' and running around the manor in reindeer costumes, leading to many deer puns that Monty and Mia didn't understand.
"Morning" I yawned, pouring myself some coffee and standing beside the stool Monty was sitting in, facing the high island counter top, "Anything interesting?"
"More attacks i'm afraid, he's growing stronger"
"How lovely" I muttered, sipping my drink. The wizard that wants to kill me and probably everyone I love, except Regulus, is growing stronger. What other word is there to describe it except lovely?
"What time are your friends coming?" Mia changed the subject as arms wrapped around my middle from behind, a warm feeling in my body from his affection.
"Around three to get ready I believe" James answered, nuzzling his head into the back of my neck and brushing his lips over the skin. "Marls is bringing her friend, Dorcas and Alice is bringing Frank"
"I wonder why" I chuckled, knowing exactly why. Marlene and Dorcas had been spending more and more time together, I knew they were a thing. I was happy for Marlene, she deserves to be happy.
"She's the ravenclaw that blew up the potions classroom in third year. I like her" Peter hummed, as James peppered more kisses on the back of my neck, lifting me off the floor slightly, holding me closer to him.
"I have never seen something more lovey dovey in my entire life" Remus muttered, eyeing the two of us.
"It's sweet" Mia cooed, as Sirius strolled into the kitchen, rubbing his eyes and kissing Mia's cheek before sitting down beside Remus, the two of them taking side glances to each other.
"I'm sweet"
"I've never seen something more lovey dovey in my life" I mocked under my breath at the two, James laughing as he heard me and placing me back down on the floor.
"Who wants to see butterfly?" Sirius inquired, a smirk on his face.
"Yes!" Peter and James gasped excitedly as Remus shouted "No!" And I hid behind Monty's back just in time as Sirius launched the butter across the table, hitting James in the face.
"Oh" He mumbled, scrunched his face as the butter dropped to the floor, Peter and Remus laughing, as he tried to lick his cheek, Sirius snorting and Monty and Mia ignoring us, used to our antics.
"You walked into that one yourself" I told him, sliding into the stool beside Monty as he slid into one the opposite side of me.
"No he just got in the butter's way" Sirius corrected, Mia tutting at him, "In my defence I wasn't aiming for him"
"You're a beater"
"Exactly, I hit things not throw"
"Who have you been hitting?!" James exclaimed, moving his arms to shield me.
"I believe he meant he's been hitting on things" Peter piped up, causing me to snort when Sirius and Remus both blushed, "My work here is finished"
"Applause for Wormy" I stated, all of us clapping for him as he bowed.
"I sometimes fear for when you have your own children" Mia voiced, glancing at us all with worry in her eyes.
"I mean they'll be good looking" James shrugged, kissing my temple "Hottest kids in Hogwarts"
"No mine will be"
"Pads-"
"Moony, don't mess with me on this"
"Alright, alright, don't hit me"
"Hitting on you, Rem"
"Shut up, El"

A few hours later the girls had arrived for the party we were having, we had gotten ready in my room, all helping each other out and we looked flawless. I wore a simple black dress with my converse, my blonde hair straightened for once and natural makeup to enhance my features. I jogged down the stairs of the manor, hearing Sirius already playing muggle music, Monty and Mia having gone out for the night to give us the manor to ourselves. Marlene brought Dorcas over, Alice brought Frank over and Lily and Mary came by themselves.
"You look beautiful, my love" James whispered in my ear, spinning me around to face him, a crooked grin on his face. I love that James Potter grin.
I glanced over his outfit, raising an eyebrow. He was wearing some dark jeans, and a white shirt, the top buttons un done. His dark hair was sticking up in all sorts of directions, his glasses perched on his nose. He never wore something like this, he looked very handsome. I bit my lip, meeting his pretty hazel eyes again.
"Padfoot dressed me for the occasion" He informed me, Sirius sending me a thumbs up from behind him, winking at me. "I'm beginning to think he should dress me more often"
"It's not what you wear, it's just you" I whispered, his hands draping around my waist as mine went loosely around his neck, "Very handsome"
"And hot" He added in quietly, leaning down and joining his lips to mine.
"I wolf you"
"I wolf you more"
"Uh excuse me, Prunes, it's not midnight yet"
"Keep thinking Padfoot" We both mumbled against each other's lips from the nickname, hearing the boy sigh and stomp his foot.
"You couldn't have had easier names to put together?!"
"What like wolfstar?"
"Wolfdeer"
"Hmm" James hummed, pecking my forehead, "Wolfdeer....I like that more than Prunes"
"What was the other one?Memes ? Lungs?" I recalled back, laughing with the two boys. If we had to have one it had to be Wolfdeer, and I wasn't even too fond for that.
We spent the rest of the night dancing and singing together, drinking a little alcohol but not too much as Mia and Monty would absolutely kill us the next day. I danced with all of the boys individually and a few of the girls, mainly Mary as James danced with Lily.
"Hey, it's a minute to midnight!" Marlene shouted, "Grab your person or whatever they usually say..." She called out in her Scottish accent, a pair of hazel eyes locking on to mine as he made his way over to me. He draped his arms around my waist, holding me close as my arms wrapped around his neck, the two of us ignoring everyone else and focusing on each other.

"You're the most beautiful girl i've ever seen, Lunes" He whispered, gazing down at me, my heart fluttering.

"You make me feel special James" I blushed slightly, him resting his forehead on mine, just so we could be as close as possible to each other.

"Happy New Year!" The group chanted out, celebrating the new year, hugging and kissing their partners if they brought one.
He connected his lips onto mine, it was soft and delicate like butterfly wings, just long enough that we could pour our love into each other as we inhaled each other's breath, feel the tenderness of one another's skin and the taste of our lip balms.
"Happy New year, my love" He whispered, pecking my lips again softly until something caught my eyes and my jaw dropped to the floor, pulling away. "Fucking hell!"
"Go on Siri and Rem!" I whistled to my brother and friend as they moulded their lips together, Remus craning his neck down to Sirius' height. "The ship is sailing!"
"It's about bloody time" Peter grumbled, appearing beside us.
"Happy New year, Wormster" I chuckled, kissing his cheek.
"Happy New year, Luna" He voiced with a grin, kissing my cheek back.
"Hey, Lunes, yeah remember me? You're very hot and loveable boyfriend you stopped kissing. He wants to continue..." James called, twirling me back around to face him, a pout on his lips.
"Who would I be to deprive my very deer and loveable boyfriend of what he wants?"
"It was hot"
"I know, darlin"
"Then why did you- mm okay" He cut himself off when I joined my lips to his again, shutting him up.
