"Do you like Harry Potter?"
"Nope, never read it. Or watched it."
"WHAT THE DUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?"
"THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH ME."
"WE ARE WATCHING HARRY POTTER."
"NO."
"YES."
"NO."
"You're not winning this argument."
"Says you."
"Okay, loser. We're watching Harry Potter."
We started watching it. Noah starts groaning. I crunch on my oreos.
"This is stupid."
"You're stupid."
He keeps on moaning and groaning.
"I'll turn on something different, now will you for the love of God SHUT THE DUCK UP?"
"Yes."
I turned on Miraculous ladybug. I started playing season 3.
"CAT NOIR GETS AKUMATIZED?"
"HE DOES! IT'S SO SAD!" I dramatically wail.
"ADRIEN AND MARINETTE DATE???"
"THIS EPISODE IS AN EMOTIONAL ROLLER COASTER." By the end of the episode, Noah is crying. He's actually crying.
"Noah, are you okay?"
"Marinette and Adrien belong together! That episode was so sad!" I start laughing.
"WHY ARE YOU LAUGHING?"
"BECAUSE YOU'RE HILARIOUS!"
He wipes away his tears and calms down.
"You broke me! I cried because of a fucking cartoon show!" He accuses me.
"Excuse me?" I giggle.
"I hate to break it to you, but that was all you buddy. You got emotionally invested in this show too!"
"You made me watch it!"
"You agreed to watch it!"
Silence. I open my bag of chips. I start munching on them.
"Where do you put all that food?"
"In my dick," I answered him.
"You don't have a dick."
"Well, I have big dick energy in deez nuts." He starts cracking up. I start laughing too. Tears start falling out because I'm laughing too hard. And then, I fell off the couch. I looked at him and burst out laughing again.
"You do have big dick energy."
"You don't though. You're not as cool as me."
"You're right. I'm cooler."
"You wish. I have neon yellow sunglasses."
"I can't beat that."
"I know. You have to be cool to have them."
I grin at him. I check the time. 8:21. Shoot, I have to grade homework.
"Noah, I'm really sorry, but I have to go! I forgot I have to grade some homework assignments!" I tell him.
"I'll drive you home."
"I came here in my car."
"So?"
"I"ll still drive you."
"How are you going to get back?"
"I'll stay over.:
Oh. OHH. My cheeks turn red.
"Okay, let's go then!" I tell him.
We clean up the snacks and put them in his pantry.
"Aren't you proud of me? You have actual food now."
"You mean this junk?"
"Are you serious? The only food you had in there was a bag of cheetos! I did you a favor."
"Sure."
"What do you mean sure? I did!" I tell him, and exaggerate with my hands.
"Thank you for restocking my pantry Shanaya," He jokes.
"You're welcome! You're lucky you're friends with such a cool person."
"I am sooo lucky."
