3RD Person POV:
The Ninja now had two main missions; get everyone out of the city, and stop Kalmaar.
Aly quickly changed back into her scuba suit, grabbing a sword before rushing down to the Hanger Bay. Inside, the others were making the final preparations to their vehicles, but Cole still wasn't back from Shintaro yet. "Nya, Aly!" Pixal called out for them, and the two ran over.
"What is it, Pix?" Nya asked as the Nindroid passed them two underwater power packs. "These will allow you to swim against the harsh waters. I've seen how bad it is, and would recommend you use these." The girls took them, and put them on. "Oxygen tanks are built into them, so you do not need to worry." Pixal told them.
"Thank you, Pixal." Aly smiled, and she nodded. The two girls grabbed their masks and headed over to Jay, who would give them a ride. "I can't believe this is actually happening." He sighed, nervously sitting in his car. "Me neither" Aly added, leaving Nya still feeling somewhat guilty.
"Let's just stop Calamari, and save the city. This has gone on for too long." Nya spoke, climbing onto the side wing of Jay's sub-speeder. Aly was about to join her when Zane came over. Aly instinctively, turned to him, and they shared a hug. "Please, stay safe out there." Zane told her. "I will. And you, don't get hurt again." She replied, lightly chuckling.
"I shall be inside one of the combat crafts, I will be alright." He reassured her, letting go. "I love you." "I love you too, Zane." Aly leaned up, kissing his check before joining Jay and Nya. "I'll see you soon!"
"Hold on tight, guys!" Jay called out, turning to the exit and revving the engine. The girls held tight, and Jay sped off, out of the Hanger and into the city. Zane, Kai and Lloyd went to the Bounty with Wu and Pixal, soon leaving for the city.
Ninjago City:
Jay was approaching the city, and once they made it to the freeway, the trio were finally able to see how bad everything was. Every street had been flooded; cars and debris were being swept away by the waves. It was devastating.
"Jay, drop us off here!" Nya called out, making Jay slow down and park up along the road. "Are you sure?" He asked, earning nods. "Positive." Aly responded, jumping off the wing with Nya. "Well, good luck. And stay safe." Jay sighed, just as Nya leaned into the cockpit and kissed him. "We will." She smiled, reassuring Jay they would be fine.
He smiled at the two girls before speeding down the road again, leaving them. Nya and Aly climbed off the road and made their way to the top of a building, which was closer to the rushing water. "Are you ready?" Nya asked as the rain continued to pour down. "Not really." Aly admitted. "But we don't have a choice." She pressed a button on her suit, making her mask flip on. Nya did the same, and they waited for the right moment.
"Ninja..."
"Go!"
The girls started running for the water, managing to sneak in a fist bump before jumping. Once they hit the water, they activated their packs, swimming off in separate directions to help save the people.
It wasn't long before The Bounty arrived, ready to drop the boys into the water. Zane, Kai and Lloyd climbed into their vehicles, waiting to be dropped. "Launching vessels in three...two...one." Pixal opened the bottom half of the Bounty, dropping the boys into the flooding city. "Pixal, we're down." Kai called out, gaining control. "We'll start saving the people." Lloyd added, soon swimming off with the others.
Jay was speeding down the road, finally taking in the scene. "Guys, it's happening just like Globby, or, Gloopy, or whatever his name is said. The wave is flooding the city. People need help!" He called out. "We're right behind you!" Kai called out through the radio.
"Okay, Jay. Time to be awesome!" Jay psyched himself up while putting on his hood. The Master of Lightning directed his car towards the edge of the road, launching himself straight off of it. Jay pushed a button, and his car transformed into a sub just as it hit the water. He began navigating the streets, keeping a look out for any stragglers.
He turned a corner, and found a flooding buss full of people. And inside, was Dareth trying his best to get the people out. As soon as he saw Jay, he alerted the people. "Help is on the way. Everyone take a big, deep breath!"
Jay launched a grappler from his car, and it made contact with the door. He managed break it off, giving the people a chance. "Grab on! Next stop is the surface!" He shouted as the citizens swam out of the bus, and held onto the car.
They safely made it to the surface, but unfortunately, a car had been floating in the water, and forcefully hit the sub. This caused Dareth to lose his grip and be carried away by the water.
Nya had already saved several people and was watching from the freeway. She spotted him struggling, and jumped in to help. she used her pack to catch up with him, grabbing him before he could get away. Nya grabbed her grappling hook, shooting it out of the water towards Jay. The hook made contact, and pulled the two out of the water.
Nya set Dareth down as he caught, but she only then realised it was him. "Oh, hey. Hi, Dareth." "Ha! See? They do know me!" Dareth exclaimed, jumping up and standing proud.
On a building elsewhere in the city, Gayle Gossip decided to broadcast the event. "This is the scene at midtown, a scene of unbridled chaos and destruction. A scene of-" As she spoke, her cameraman grew distracted, and started lowering the camera. "Vinny, lift the camera. I'm in the middle of a broadcast! Vinny, up. Ahem." Gayle lifted the camera back up, not noticing what swam up behind her.
"This is the scene at midtown, a scene of unbridled-" Gayle was interrupted when the Serpent Wojira roared behind her, catching the reporter off guard. The gasped, backing away just as help arrived. "Miss Gossip, this way! Quickly!" It was Wu and Pixal with the Bounty, they were picking up anyone stranded on top of buildings.
"Wojira." Wu mumbled, quickly helping Gayle and Vinny onto the ship before flying off. "A flying ship! How adorable." Kalmaar laughed, striking Wojira's head again, making her scream. "After them!"
In an arcade, several children were trapped inside. They swam to the door, trying to dry it open, but they weren't strong enough. But luckily, Lloyd and Aly were there. Lloyd managed to break open the door while Aly swam inside to grab the kids. "Swim to Lloyd, he'll get you out!" She instructed them as they swam out. "Okay, hold tight." Lloyd began to swim for the surface, but he was blasted in the back.
A group of Merlopians were swimming towards them, ready to attack. Aly was about to send rows of ice spikes at them when someone threw a spear, splitting up the Merlopians. She looked back to see Benthomaar, Zane and Kai rushing over. "Get those children to the surface. We'll handle the Merlopians." Zane instructed, and the two nodded.
Lloyd rushed up to the surface, with Aly close by to help the children onto a building.
Kai, Zane and Benthomaar started rushing into battle, but they were soon overwhelmed with attacks. "It appears that we've been surrounded!" Zane informed them. "I'll deal with them! They need to know the truth about Kalmaar!" Benthomaar called out, giving them a plan. "Okay, we'll cover you." Kai responded as Bentho approached Gripe and his soldiers.
": Can't you see Wojira destroyed the bounds of Ninjago? The beast did everything that the First Spinjitzu Master fought against!" The prince sinister while fighting back the guards. "Don't listen to him. He has been corrupted by the surface-dwellers!" Gripe told them, making the Merlopians somewhat confused.
"Listen to me. Kalmaar has deceived you! Kalmaar dethroned the King, not the surface-dwellers!" Benthomaar insisted, but they didn't believe him. "Lies! King Kalmaar told us the truth, you traitor." A Merlopian shot back, rushing in for an attack. Benthomaar caught it, and pushed them away before dealing with the others.
Kai and Zane managed to find a large group of Merlopians, and took aim. "Firing torpedoes, in three, two-" Zane was cut off when a manta ray barged into him, knocking him off target and hitting Kai. "Numerically, they have the advantage!" Zane called out while avoiding blasts. "There's too many of them!" Kai shouted, not hearing what Zane said.
"That is what I just said!" Zane shot back. A group of Merlopians were about to fire at them again, but were instead blasted by another vehicle. It aimed for a group of Manta rays, barging into them. "Hey guys! Need a hand?" Cole spoke up, making the others gasp.
"Cole! You're back!" Zane exclaimed. "Are we glad to see you!" Kai added, happy that they would now have more help.
On the surface, the water had calmed down, but was still deadly. Two children were trying to get to safety by using a bathtub as a boat. Wojira roared again, frightening the children. But that's when Wu arrived, lowing a rope for them to grab on to. "Grab on!" He called out as the kids grabbed the rope.
The old mad pulled the children up and onto the Bounty, just as their bathtub sank below the surface. "Thank you." The girl said. "I thought we could use the bathtub as a boat, but it turns out, bathtubs have a hole in the bottom." The boy huffed, making Wu chuckle. "Yes. Who knew?"
Wojira continued to roar in the distance, in search of the Boat. "Get behind Pixal, kids. Things are bound to get rough." Wu instructed them, and the children rushed behind the Nindroid. Wojira continued to swim through the streets, and Kalmaar eventually spotted the ship. "There!"
"Pixal, it's time we departed!" Master Wu called out, seeing Wojira not far from them. Pixal was confused by Wu's words, and he quickly corrected himself. "I mean leave! Go!"
"Hold on, everyone!" Pix called out, flying off. But Wojira wasn't pleased, and started sending blasts at the ship.
Cole joined Kai and Zane, and together, they rushed back to Benthomaar, helping him fend off the Merlopians. They managed to blast them, sending the enemy retreating. "Zane, we have encountered Wojira and require immediate assistance. I repeat, we have encountered Wojira!" Pixal told them over the radio.
"You guys go. Benthomaar and I can take care of these goldfish." Cole reassured them, and the two sped off. "Don't forget me!" Aly swam around the corner, ready to help. "Then let's do this." Cole spoke, sending missiles at the Merlopians.
Aly and Benthomaar swam ahead, using what they had. Bentho used his spears to attack them, while Aly blocked them off with her ice.
"You may want to cover your ears." Pixal suggested, confusing the children. "Why?" The boy asked. "Because nobody fires on my ship." She sternly told them, and the children quickly covered their ears. Pixal picked up the speed as Wojira came into sight again. But luckily, Pix was able to fire missiles at her, striking her.
Wojira roared again, displeasing Kalmaar. "You'll pay for that! Go. Go! Strike them down!" He ordered, hitting the serpent with his trident again, making her charge after the ship. Wojira started shooting blasts of water and lightning at the ship, which Pixal was barely able to dodge. But help arrived.
"Hang on, Pixal! I'll distract them!" Lloyd called out, jumping out of the water. He landed on top of a building, bringing out his giant sword. "Hey, Kalmaar! Come and get it!" He yelled, taking the Kings attention.
He directed Wojira towards the boy as he jumped towards her. The giant serpent easily blasted him, sending him falling back into the water and straight past Kai and Zane. "Lloyd, are you okay?" Kai asked as the boy got back up. "Nothing I can't handle. Hit her with everything you've got!" Lloyd instructed them, and they nodded.
Wojira swam back into the sea, right past the boys. Kai lined up the shot, and fired a torpedo at her. But it did nothing. Kai tried again, but Wojira stared at him before sending a harsh blast their way. The three were knocked back, and forced to re-think. "The explosive payload of these torpedoes is insufficient to dissuade Wojira!" Zane called out.
"I don't think these torpedoes are doing much, Zane!" Kai shot back, not hearing him again. "That is what I just said! Why are you repeating me?" He asked, finding it slightly annoying.
Wojira left the boys, and instead focused on the Bounty again. She rose from the water, firing an attack at them again. "Look out! Wu shouted, directing everyone's attention to the attack.
Pixal was unable to move the Bounty out of the way in time, and the Bounty was hit. The ship quickly lost power, and began to fall. Pixal tried her best to steer it away from buildings, but the sails were torn and they hurtfully hit the water.
Wojira now had the Bounty cornered, and was about to hit them with a huge attack. But luckily, Zane and Kai started shooting at her, taking the serpents attention. "You're gonna regret messing with our city, Kalmaar!" Kai shouted, quickly firing attack after attack.
Wojira screamed, aggravating Kalmaar. "Your city is now my city. And the only regret I have is I can only destroy it once!" He ordered the serpent to attack, but at that moment, Jay came around and blasted Wojira in the face.
"Yeah, hi! Up here!" Jay shouted, taking the serpents attention. "Look this way and say cheese!" He fired two large missiles at her, hitting her neck. "Yeah! Take that, you big worm!" He exclaimed, but him celebration was short lived when Wojira swam over to him.
Wojira roared again, right before picking Jay up in her mouth. "Not my sub car! Guys, this thing has a century-old morning breath!" Jay screamed, trying not to gag as Wojira started closing her jaw on the car, breaking it. "Aah! And she thinks I'm a chew toy!"
Wojira started tossing around the car until she was hit with a large sum of water, dropping the car. Jay landed in the water, slowly sinking to the flooded streets bellow. Jay started to panic, and decided to call for help.
Wojira looked as to where the water came from, and she found Nya standing on a building with two bubbles of water at the ready.
"You." Kalmaar hissed, not pleased to see her again.
"This ends now." Nya demanded, ready to fight.
"I was hoping you would say that." Kalmaar smirked directing Wojira to charge the girl.
Nya jumped from the building, using the water to hop up to the serpent.
Both sides came face to face, both ready to fight...
