"Oh come on (y/n), you just have to smile and I'll leave you alone." Harry said as he walked next to you.
You never really smiled. You didn't really find a reason in doing so. There was nothing that really made you smile. Sure you smiled in private, only slightly, but while in class or walking in the corridors, never. And you couldn't really remember the last time you laughed at school. This is what made 1st and 2nd years scared of you.
You could simply look at them and they would almost run away. You didn't understand it, you didn't think you were scary.
Even through that, you found some things amusing, like the Weasley twins pranks, but they left last year, so that was a no.
"You know I don't do that, Potter." You say as you continue to walk down the hallway.
Harry had made it a habit recently to make you smile. You didn't know why he wanted to do so, but he tried every single day.
"Okay, but until you do, I won't leave you alone." He said with a cocky smile. He was doing this weird stride walk thing? He had a crooked smile when he looked at you.
When you looked at him up and down due to his weird way of walking, he smirked at you while wiggling his eyebrows. You just did a sarcastic eye roll before you both walked into the charms room.
The more and more time you spent with Harry, the harder you found it to not crack small smiles when he talked to you or showed up. Or when he would send weird faces and wink at you from across classrooms.
The closest he's ever gotten was when you smirked back at him in class, it was barley noticeable, but he could slightly make out the slight curve of the corner of your mouth.
What you were shocked by was when he didn't leave you alone. He claimed that it didn't count, because it was a smirk and not a smile, and it only lasted for 2 seconds before it went away.
The two of you did many things together, most of it was sneaking out however. Sneaking out into the kitchens, where you would have to pull him away and down the corridors when he would randomly stop and just stare, usually when ms Norris was about to catch you both.
You both would go to the black lake and look around for things, and occasionally Neville would join. (Some times you would have to smack Harry across the back of the head when he would say something rude.)
You would go to the room of requirement and do arts and crafts, like painting and things. Although Harry didn't seem like it, he was pretty decent at art work.
Sometimes, the elves would allow you two to bake things like cakes and cookies. You were the more serious one about it, and Harry was the one who would throw flour at you and goof off. But that's how you liked it.
Even when Harry was at his meetings with Dumbledore, you would often wait for him to do things or tell him your thoughts and ideas. He never told you what they were for, but then again, he didn't tell Ron and Hermione much either.
But this time, he was gone for many hours, and the next thing you knew, the dark mark was floating in the sky. Then that was when all hell broke loose.
Harry had you all drink a small amount of the liquid luck he had left before you all went to fight the death eaters which somehow gotten into the castle.
You saw Fenrir Greyback running after a Weasley, with three scratch marks running down his face. Although you didn't know which one he was. You didn't really think to much, but you shot a spell at Fenrir, which he flew back and hit a wall, therefore knocking him unconscious.
You couldn't tell when it stopped, but suddenly everyone was running outside, running after what looked like black smoke. There was fire everywhere, things were burning, and it was scary.
You think it was due to the liquid luck, but you somehow didn't get hit with a single spell.
Then they were gone, the black smoke clouds were gone, and it was just confused Hogwarts students and some professors left behind.
Slowly, you walked back into the castle, where there was a huge crowd of students and teachers. They were just looking down at something, and you heard some quiet cries. You saw the Weasleys there, and other older people you didn't know.
You made your way through the crowd of people, and they saw who you were and for some reason let you pass by.
When you got to the front, you saw Harry, but he was crying and leaning over someone who you soon found out when you walked over, to be Dumbledore.
Harry was leaning over him, and he looked like he was crying, and scared for the most part. Ginny tried to make an advance forward, but Ron stopped her and let you go forwards instead.
You knelt down and wrapped your arm around him, and pulled him closer to you. It took only a couple seconds for him to bury his head in your shoulder/neck.
You rubbed his back as he tried to get his breathing under control.
"You don't have to tell me anything right now, just relax." You told him quietly. You just rubbed his back as you stared at the floor.
All around you, people held their wands up in the air, and many small lights out the tips. He stayed there for only a few for moments before you talked to him once again.
"Come on, let's go inside. You're probably tired." You begin you stand up and give him your hand and pull him up as well.
As you walk up the the Gryffindor tower, he was still, sort of clung onto you. He didn't really talk to anyone.
If someone tried to ask him something or come up to them, you just threw them a look and a simple 'not right now' before walking away.
Harry had gotten into his pajamas, but he looked far from going to sleep. He has asked you to stay with him and with the permission of McGonagall, you stayed. He just talked, and it seemed to be helping.
You decided to just listen and put your opinions and thoughts occasionally, but for the most part, Harry was talking.
"Are you scared (y/n)?" He asked looking at you with his glasses slightly crooked on his face.
"Oh yes, but the only thing I can do is help, so that's what I'm going to do." You answer simply.
"I'm just, I realized something. I realized that I have no one else to protect me. I have no one to really turn to for information anymore. I'm, I'm by myself." He whispered and seemingly staring at nothing.
"You do have people, Harry. You have people who want to help you, and be there by your side. They want to have the happy ending as much as you do." You say back. You were playing with your fingers, thinking about the whole night.
"You have Ron, Hermione, the whole Weasley family really. You have people in the order? Is that what it was called? Um, you have, me as well." You say the last part kind of awkwardly.
Harry raised his eyebrows, even though the current situation. "Really?" He asked and he had a small smirk on his face.
And through the slight darkness, you looked him in the eyes, and for the first time ever, you smiled at him. It was a warm smile, a soft smile, a real smile.
"Yea." You say at almost a whisper.
Harry's smile was ear to ear.
"Did-did you just smile?" He asked, lifting an eyebrow.
"Maybe I did, maybe I didn't." You responded and your famous resting face with slightly raised eyebrows.
"You know, I like your smile. You should do it more often." He whispered as he put his hands behind his head.
"Hmm, well maybe I'll consider doing it more often then." You say as you get up from the seat. "And if you tell anyone this happened, you're dead." You say and you point from your to his eyes with two fingers.
He let out a breathy chuckle. "Good night (y/n)." He said softly.
You let out a sigh. "Good night, Harry. If you need to talk, you know where my dorm is." You say as you leave through the doorway, and give him finger guns.

I'm going to write a Lavender Brown imagine and there is probably not going to be a part two to last story, I'm sorry :( I think it would be clever for you guys to make up the desired ending in your head. Or give me ideas if you want me to write it out. But I will write it if you guys want me to.
